Summer is more fun with friends & food!
Did you know our camp accepts students who do NOT attend Yorkville schools too. If you know any students in grades 6 through 9 who want to join us for a summer of library fun, send them the flyer and registration code. Deadline to register is June 1st!!!!

It would have been cool with 5 students, but we had over 30 kids have the best time, win amazing prizes, and geek out to the max for YMS Fandom Fest 2026! Our principal even took his photo with the Star Wars crew! Great day to be a middle school librarian!

We are celebrating a little geekiness next week and all of YMS is participating!!!
On Monday, May the 4th, we are celebrating May the Force Be With You - Star Wars Day! Wear your favorite Star Wars Gear.
On Thursday, May 7th, we are having our Fandom Fest. Wear a costume for your favorite character from a book, manga, comic book series, show, or movie.

Can we get kids to read?
We hope to try. We are offering summer camp for students entering grades 6-9!
Come join the YMS Library for fun, crafts, food, and lots of books to bring home to read. Keeping your students reading over summer break helps prevent the "summer slide". We don't tell them what to read. They can choose what interests them. All reading is good reading! Bit.ly/4lO5A75

It's almost time‼️12th Annual Spelling Bee happening in the YMS Library tonight. 12 spellers for our 12th year. 😃 Book Fair is open too. Come see our students shine. Doors open at 6pm.
