As Kendall County Republicans, we believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and protecting hardworking families. We are proud that Republicans hold the majority on the Kendall County Board and many local offices. And weβve fought hard to keep county spending in check.
However, the truth is clear: Illinois property taxes remain unsustainable for our families, seniors, and young homeowners.
In Kendall County:
π Median home: $330Kβ$350K
π΅βπ« Median tax bill: $8,000+
Where the money goes on average across the county:
π Schools: 68% to 75%
π County, Township, Roads, Municipal & Other: 26% to 32%
While our Republican-led County Board works to deliver efficient services, the overall burden, driven heavily by state mandates and school spending, continues to climb.
This is not sustainable.
Our Path Forward as Kendall County Republicans:
β
Continue fighting in Springfield for stronger property tax caps and relief
β
Push for school spending transparency and accountability
β
Expand homestead exemptions for families and seniors
β
Demand spending restraint at every level, including our own
We know local Republican leaders are working hard, but the system is broken. Real relief requires bold action across all levels of government. Kendall County families deserve better.
