While we offer all the newest bestsellers and tens of thousands of books for babies to adults, we also have the newest DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, Nooks, and even passes to Old Fort Niagara! Your library is not confined to a building--we have a digital library with 24/7 access to thousands of movies, music, books, audiobooks, and graphic novels! Office and tech services include 24/7 wi-fi access, computers, faxing, copying and printing in color and black and white.

Join the Town of Porter's weekly Story Hour at the Youngstown Free Library on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am or 11 am (choose which time fits with your busy schedule). It’s perfect for toddlers and preschoolers! Every week, we read together, make crafts, and practice socialization skills while having fun! No registration required.

Kangaroos, wombats, duck billed platypus, dingos, the list goes on and on. Come to Story Hour this week as we travel down under!

Thank you to Irene Myers, Niagara County legislator, for your generous grant of $1,500 to the Youngstown Free Library. This grant will help support our summer reading programs this year!

Last year, our tiny library held 46 summer reading programs with 2,488 attendees. The Summer Reading Challenge included 75 kids and teens who together read 146,812 minutes from June 30th to September 6th. With community support, I hope that we can offer an equally impressive season of programs and reading incentives again this summer!

Tuesday was National Library Workers’ Day, one of the days celebrating National Library Week. Imagine our surprise when today’s staff were met with decorations, pins, a snack basket, and delicious lunch for everyone! Thank you to the Regan family for such a fantastic surprise! Only 25 more days before book donation drop-off begins before the Spring Book Sale!
Start sorting through your bookshelves now--you can get them boxed up and ready to go, but...
PLEASE WAIT to drop them off until Monday, May 4th. We're so inundated with donations that we have no more storage space right now!
On Monday, May 4, Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6, we'll have volunteers in the Red Brick Gym able to unload your donations from 10 AM - 3 PM and 6 PM - 8 PM each day.

Story Hour will pick up again next Tuesday, April 14th at 9:30 AM and 11 AM!
