🇺🇸 America 250 Celebration Continues!

The Mahoning County Township Association held its annual picnic with all 14 Mahoning County townships represented! We were joined by the County Engineer, Auditor, Sanitary Engineer, Fair Board, and many others who help make our communities strong.

A special thank-you to Canfield Township for hosting this wonderful gathering!

Building Mahoning County’s Future

What an incredible investment in our community! The transformation of the old Vindicator building by the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) and America Makes, into an Innovation Hub is an exciting step forward for entrepreneurship and economic development.

The Mahoning County Commissioners are proud to play a small part in this tremendous improvement and the opportunities it will create for our community.

Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel have continued to support Mahoning County, and we were grateful to have them here this month to announce this award—and back again on The Heart of Opportunity Tour showcasing childhood learning, health and economic development.

This is what partnership looks like: taking a historic building, investing in its future, and creating new opportunities for the people of Mahoning County. We’re excited to see what comes next!

Last friday the commissioners along with the mayor of Sebring David Wright, Deb Flora from the land bank and other officials attended a press conference highlighting the demolition of a decades long vacant industrial site.
This project was a collaborative effort that could only have been accomplished through the partnerships of the local, county and state entities.
Our hats are off to the landbank for their efforts in putting the resources together to get this project done!
