Our employees came together to raise the funds, design, and build this sweet little playhouse for three lucky Valley kiddos — and had an unforgettable day doing it.

💡America Makes celebrated Manufacturing Day introducing students to the world of additive manufacturing, drone technology, and real‑world engineering challenges!

From Pennsylvania to California, our Education & Workforce Development engineers and educators from Innovate Learning spent October 2 guiding students through hands-on Design + Build + Fly activities at:
• Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Valley STEM + ME2 Academy (OH)
• Conemaugh High School (PA)
• La Nube STEAM Discovery Center (TX)
• U.S. Space & Rocket Center (AL)
• Inland Empire Technical Trade Center at Perris (CA)

Students jumped into design‑thinking exercises, learned essential safety skills, and piloted drones, gaining foundational knowledge and discovering how advanced manufacturing solves complex, real-world problems.

📢 Tools give manufacturers, regulators, and researchers a clearer view of the standards behind safe, consistent 3D-printed parts

Additive manufacturing (AM) is reshaping how we build everything from life‑saving medical devices to advanced aerospace components. But turning breakthrough prototypes into safe, reliable products requires strong, clear standards.

ANSI and America Makes unveiled two new tools to help the AM community do just that: a searchable online database of AM standards and the new September 2026 Gaps Progress Report. Both come from the Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative (AMSC).

As AM expands, these resources make it easier to see what standards already exist, what’s in development, and where gaps still need attention—empowering industry to innovate with confidence and accelerate adoption.
