Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District staff, in collaboration with Friends of the Mahoning River and led a paddle on the Mahoning River during their annual Riverfest event to highlight the many improvements that have been made throughout the watershed.

Way to go, Boardman! Those students are the next generation of environmental professionals right there!

They worked incredibly hard to earn their spot at the State Envirothon, demonstrating extensive knowledge in forestry, wildlife, aquatics, soils, and current environmental issues. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to conservation made Mahoning County proud as they represented our community on the state competition stage.

Join us for a full day of family fun, environmental education, and river recreation at Lowellville’s newly improved Waterfront Park. Celebrate the Mahoning River watershed and discover way's you can help improve our local waterways.
