📣 MCCTC dedicates its new $16M LEAD Center!

What a great way to kick off the morning - Megan Malara, Youngstown Innovation Hub, and Courtney Puhl, America Makes - attended the grand-opening of the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center's new Leadership Employment Advanced Discovery (LEAD) Center in Canfield.

The 40,000 sq. ft. facility will focus on industrial robotics and automation, computer networking and cybersecurity, AI systems, and more. Big news for the Mahoning Valley! 🚀

Yesterday, the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense officially broke ground at YBI’s 107 Building marking a major step forward in strengthening Ohio’s aerospace and defense manufacturing ecosystem.

This project is part of Ohio’s statewide network of Innovation Hubs and is projected to deliver a $161.6M economic impact, 450 new jobs, 185 new STEM credential opportunities, and 40 internships by 2029.

Leaders from across the state joined the celebration, highlighting how this investment will drive innovation, workforce development, and new opportunities for businesses in advanced and additive manufacturing.

The five‑story, 130,000‑sq‑ft facility will feature flexible office and workspace options, high‑demand power capacity, and security features designed to support federal defense work, positioning Youngstown as a national proving ground for aerospace and defense manufacturing.
