As we begin early voting, I encourage you to vote YES for the Parish-wide property tax rededication.

This is NOT a new tax, only a better use of existing tax money.

If rededicated, it would provide nearly $500,000 per year for Parish Fire Protection and Road Construction.

Halloween is around the corner! 🎃Youngsville will observe trick or treating 10/31 from 6p-8pm. Lafayette Parish Mayors offer the following safety tips for Halloween and encourage everyone to adopt safe practices in light of the risks from COVID-19:

👻Don’t wear gloves when handing out candy.

👻Offer pre-wrapped goody bags or sanitize hands in between house visits.

👻Do not participate in Halloween festivities if you are feeling ill.

👻Only Trick-or-Treat with members of your household and within your own neighborhood, if possible.

👻Halloween masks are not a substitute for real masks. Please ensure that proper face coverings are worn while out in public.

👻Avoid activities in which germs can spread easily such as bobbing for apples or close-quartered haunted houses.

👻Consider alternatives to Trick or Treating such as CDC’s Zombie Survival Scavenger Hunt or Drive-Thru Trick or Treating

👻For more information on Halloween Safety visit CDC Halloween Guidance at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-noob/daily-life-coping/holidays.html#halloween

We have lost a great member of our city and you will be missed. Prayers to the Burley family!

We have lost a great member of our city and you will be missed. Prayers to the Burley family!

It’s with great sadness that I share the death of Youngsville’s Brenda Burley. A former City Councilwoman for 16 years including 4 as Mayor Pro-Tem, Airport Commissioner for 12, loving family member and friend to many. Brenda was an incredible friend and an outstanding advocate and champion for Youngsville. I have so many memories of our service together and our friendship that I’ll always cherish. She believed in me from day one, treated me like family, and always inspired me to be a better person. Brenda may have been small in size but she was larger than life. She knew how to have a good time, how to handle business, and how to keep us all on our toes. Intimidating at times, she kept our meetings lively and interesting. She will be greatly missed but her legacy and influence will go down in history. Brenda was one of the most interesting people I’ve been privileged to know. She was a pilot, lived extensively over seas, & traveled the world. May she Rest In Peace and may her family find comfort during this difficult time. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/acadiana/obituary.aspx?n=brenda-joy-burley&pid=196498724

For those who are wondering.

YouTube messes with my uploads and the bit from my last podcast was cut out. Here it is from the horses mouth. Biggest scam perpetuated in World History.

Okay swallow this one 66% of positive cases are from those who STAYED HOME! Quarantine does not work people!!!!

I am not worried about federal dollars unlike most!

Current Federal and State law:

You do NOT have to stay home.
You do NOT have to close your business.
You are NOT restricted in your travels.
You are NOT banned from religious assembly.
These are NOT laws, as a law must be passed by your state legislature. And, of course, this has not happened in any of our 50 states.
These following orders are UNLAWFUL “orders”:
Stay at home,
Close your business,
Don’t go to church,
Practice social distancing,
Wear a mask,
No interstate travel etc etc.

These are NOT laws that can carry any kind of criminal penalty for violation. They are at best ONLY guidelines for "suggestion". These "orders" carry NO legitimate force of law with which to back them up.

NO governor (Ducey) nor mayor may craft a law and assign a punishment for its non-compliance. They can't. And, even if one of these tyrants tries to do so, such orders or actions would then be profoundly unconstitutional and a solid basis for compensation to "anyone affected" by them.

The Free Exercise Clause of the First 1st Amendment firmly establishes freedom of religion as a fundamental liberty, and the Due Process Clause of the Fifth 5th Amendment firmly establishes your right to purchase a lawful product in interstate commerce from a willing seller as "fundamental".

Fundamental liberties are in the highest category of liberty, akin to freedom of conscience and speech and press and privacy and travel.

Right to Congregate/Assemble
Per the First 1ST Amendment to the United States Constitution:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Right to Travel:
Per our 14TH Amendment to the United States Constitution (abridged):
"The right of a citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon in the ordinary course of life and business is a common right which he has under his right to enjoy life and liberty, to acquire and possess property, and to pursue happiness and safety. It includes the right in so doing to use the ordinary and usual conveyances of the day."

Stopping a tyrannical overthrow of the United States AND the WORLD, the stripping of our Liberties & Freedoms BEGINS with YOU. Do your part and STAND UP for yourSELF before you no longer have a self to stand up for!!!

These are the facts.. Stop letting tyrants lie to you. Call them what they really are = Tyrants. 🇺🇸✊🏼🗣

I will not live in fear nor will I have my freedom taken away! I put my hand on a bible and swore to uphold the constitution! This is tyranny and will not stay quiet any more!
Why do I have to stay home just because 𝘆𝗼𝘂 are scared? How about 𝘆𝗼𝘂 stay home....𝘆𝗼𝘂 stay in 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 house indefinitely, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 wear a mask, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 socially distance yourself from me, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 avoid restaurants, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 avoid baseball games, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 stay off the roads, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 avoid malls and beaches and parks, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 believe the made up death numbers, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 believe the media hype, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 Get your toxic vaccine while avoiding vitamin C, sunshine and the things God gave us to actually heal,
I'm done playing 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 dumb game. We are not “all in this together.” I'm not wearing 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 dumb tin foil hat anymore. I’m no longer going to be a prisoner of your fear. I'm no longer staying in my house or catering to 𝘆𝗼𝘂 because 𝘆𝗼𝘂 are scared. I'm not wearing a mask and I'm not staying 6 feet away from you anymore because I'm not afraid of you. You are not my enemy and if I get sick, it's not because of 𝘆𝗼𝘂, it's because of me and my system, which not only have I been addressing for quite some time, but I also know how to treat if I get sick.
This virus (or whatever it is) is already circulating. Millions of people have already encountered it, as it's been circulating around the world probably since last September. You WILL have to confront this thing, if you haven’t already. There is no way around it, unless you lock yourself up in your house and it somehow doesn't manage to hop on some mail or some groceries that you ordered online.
𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 fear is not an excuse to destroy America. 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 fear is not my fear and your fear does not have the right to interfere with my life, my job, my income or my future as a free American citizen. So if you're scared, you can just put your tin foil hat on, or even wrap foil all around your whole body - or around your whole house if you wish - but please keep your fear contained to your little corner of the world and don't contaminate me or my family or my Country.👌🏼🇺🇸

It's time to open back up Lafayette Parish!

It's time to open back up Lafayette Parish!

Thus far, we have avoided the most serious public health impacts of COVID-19 here in Lafayette Parish. I have sent a letter, along with the Mayors of our local municipalities, asking the governor to allow local flexibility in our response once the stay at home order is lifted. We believe that COVID-19 response policies should be tailored to the situation in each local parish. #VictoryOverTheVirus

We have to open the state of Louisiana back up with 0 restrictions! Our nation is dying Congressman Clay Higgins Senator Ted Cruz

Lord I come to you in prayer, to ask you to heal the land, and to stop the chaos... and evil that is at play. May the lands be whole again. Please Lord, bring your glory down and bless each and every person here on this earth. Lord I pray that you would release us from this plague, and this epidemic, and crisis in each and every country.
I pray you be with everyone who has lost their job,
I pray you be with our family members and everyone who still have to report to Work, or who's jobs are at risk..
I also pray you be with all the doctors and nurses and everyone who's working hard to get things under control!
I also pray for all the grocery store workers and truck drivers as well.
I come to you and pray that there will be no more death to this virus and only healing, in the name of Jesus! WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU GOD!!! AND WE NEED YOU! Eradicate this virus faster than when it started. Leave this world in wonder at how mighty the work of your hand will be. Let nations seek after you. May we all repent and turn to you God!! In Jesus name, Amen! 🙏❤️🙏
Copy and paste this to your page, because the power of prayer does work!! And our world needs more prayer and trust in God!

Everybody bow your heads...Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you as humbly as I know how. I confess my sins, known and unknown. Lord you know I'm not perfect, and I fall short everyday of my life. I just want to take time out to say thank you for your mercy and your grace. Thank you for my health, my family, my friends, the roof over my head, food on my table, and everything I have. Copy if you're feeling blessed too. No matter what it looks like He still blesses me!!

Flattening the Coronavirus Curve

We all have a responsibility to play in slowing the spread of the Coronavirus. This is a fluid situation and as such things change. We all need to act responsibly and look out for the health of ourselves, our families, our co-workers and our neighbors.

Sports activity at the Youngsville Sports Complex has been suspended for a two week period beginning tomorrow Monday March 16th.

The health and safety of our residents and visitors remain a top priority for all of us. Let’s take a pause and do our part. I recognize the significant impact that the Youngsville Sports Complex plays to our local economy and the normalcy it provides to our residents. As a result any decision to cancel or modify activity at the Complex is weighed heavily. We are constantly assessing the situation and will make changes as needed for the safety of our community.

We are in the prime time of athletic activity which drives visitors to our city to dine in our restaurants and shop in our businesses. Youngsville remains OPEN to business. Please keep all of our local businesses top of mind. They will need our help now more than ever.

FYI from Governor John Bel Edwards. Reviewing specifics related to Youngsville and the Youngsville Sports Complex and will make a statement this afternoon.

Youngsville Sports Complex

Most may know me from being a coach, but I love playing as well! Twelve years ago I quit playing softball and beach volleyball due to life, wife, kids, job, and my passion for coaching. For the first time today, I put my feet back in the sand in a beach volleyball tournament with my 13 year old daughter Marley, a 13 year old that I coached in volleyball, Joli Nelson, and her wonderful father and friend, Ben Nelson. We placed second! Wow, what a weekend! Played in a tournament with my daughter and a young lady I coached, and played with the pros. #SugarBeach #YoungsvilleSportsComplex #livingthesweetlife Youngsville Sports Complex!

Perfect weather for #beachvolleyball! #SugarBeach Day 2 Adult beach volleyball tournaments happening now! 🏐 🏝 🌞
