One of Louisiana’s highest honor for educational leadership has been awarded to one of our own. Congratulations to Dr. Holly Boffy, principal of the W.D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center, on being named the 2027 Louisiana High School Principal of the Year by the Louisiana Department of Education.

This prestigious statewide honor recognizes an exceptional school leader whose vision, innovation, and unwavering commitment to students have expanded opportunities and transformed lives. Under Dr. Boffy’s leadership, the W.D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center continues to prepare students for success in college, careers, and beyond while exemplifying the excellence found throughout LPSS.
