Another example of what not to do behind the wheel.

This driver was stopped after traveling 97 mph and was found to be unlicensed. The result? A citation issued and the vehicle impounded.

Slow down, drive responsibly, and make sure you're properly licensed before getting behind the wheel. Arriving safely is always more important than arriving fast.

Yesterday kept our officers busy as we responded to 4 crashes throughout the county. Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries. As we head into the busy summer months, traffic volumes increase and so does the potential for crashes.

A few simple reminders can make all the difference:
-Put the phone away and stay focused on the road
-Slow down and leave extra following distance
-Never drive impaired or fatigued
-Wear your seatbelt
-Stay patient during traffic and road delays

Summer should be about making memories, not preventable crashes.

Summer is right around the corner, and with warmer temperatures comes an increased risk of wildfires.

Help keep our communities safe by practicing fire safety every time you hit the road or head outdoors:
-Don't throw cigarette butts from your vehicle
-Secure trailer chains to prevent sparks
-Avoid parking on dry grass
-Make sure campfires are fully extinguished
-Keep vehicles properly maintained to prevent mechanical fires

One small mistake can have devastating consequences. Stay alert, use caution, and help prevent the next wildfire before is starts.
