A Huge Thank You to Siskiyou County Public Health! 🧤🧼🧣🧢

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Siskiyou County Public Health for their generous donation of hygiene supplies, blankets, hats, gloves, and backpacks.

These items make a real difference—not only for our guests staying at the shelter, but also for the folks we unfortunately have to turn away when we are full. Having warm and essential items to offer means we can still show care, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

🌧 WINTER WEATHER DONATIONS NEEDED 🌧

With the rain settling in and our shelter at full capacity, we’re doing everything we can to support our neighbors who still need a safe, dry place to be. For those we sadly have to turn away, we want to make sure they at least have warmth and protection from the weather.

We are currently in need of:
🧥 Warm jackets
🛏 Blankets
⛺ Tarps
🧤 Gloves, beanies, and other cold-weather gear

If you’re able to help, donations can be dropped off daily from 4–6 PM at:

Today, we pause to honor the incredible veterans who have served our country—and the veterans who now call Yreka Basecamp home.

Your courage, service, and continued strength inspire us daily. Many of you not only protect the values we hold dear but also help protect the heart of our community here at Basecamp—whether it’s helping serve meals, fixing things around the shelter, caring for our animals, or welcoming new guests with compassion and respect.

We see you. We thank you. And we are honored to stand beside you—not just today, but every day. ❤️🤍💙

It's been an incredible few weeks! We are finally open and moving folks into the Siskiyou Village. If you'd like to support us, we need microwavable meals, ramen cups, or anything else that's easy to prepare for dinners without a kitchen; including monetary donations. We have a number of restaurants ready to help us cook food for our folks. From the depth of my heart, thank you to everyone who has supported us through this journey ❤️

🕵️‍♀️💥 Yreka Basecamp has been keeping a secret... 💥🕵️‍♂️

Okay, okay—we can’t keep it in any longer...

🎉 We’ve been in soft opening mode for the past 9 nights—quietly welcoming guests, building our rhythm, and making sure everything runs smoothly before the big day. And now it’s time to let the secret out:

Our official grand opening is July 7th!

But here's the catch: we’re opening without a kitchen. That means we’re relying on microwavable meals or ramen cups to serve our guests until construction is complete.

🙏 A massive thank you to everyone who has already donated during this soft opening phase—we couldn’t have done it without you.

💡 Want to help? We’re still in need of: Microwavable meals (soups, mac & cheese, ramen, burritos, etc.) Easy-to-heat comfort food that can help fill a belly and warm a heart

We have the most AMAZING community members ❤️ today we were gifted this amazing assortment of microwavable/freezer friendly food and water from one of our biggest community supporters!
