The Yulan Fire Department held a mock automobile accident drill last evening, along with the White Lake Fire Department and Highland Ambulance Service. The staged drill consisted of a 2 car motor vehicle accident, with a reported rollover and entrapment. Fire departments used the extrication tools to cut away the car from the victims. It was a great learning opportunity to practice using the tools in a variety of different situations. Highland Ambulance provided treatment to the victims. A huge thank you to Prestige Towing for providing the cars for the drill.

The Yulan Fire Department conducted a Breathe Down Drill last night. The primary goal of this exercise is to enhance firefighters' ability to manage air consumption, boost endurance, and improve physical conditioning. This was achieved by having Interior Firefighters wear full gear, including Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), while participating in a kickball game. We extend our gratitude to Highland Ambulance for providing two EMTs to monitor the firefighters' well-being.
