Emergency Management is a division of the Nassau County Sheriff's Office housed in the Emergency Operations Center. EM is responsible for planning and preparing for disasters, mitigating damage that might result from local hazards, and coordinating resources during emergency response and recovery operations. Investing time and resources preparing for and mitigating hazards pays off exponentially in the long run, reducing risks, decreasing losses, and improving community resilience. If your business, civic organization, church, or homeowners association wants help preparing for natural or man-made hazards, or you would like to volunteer to help during disaster recovery, contact our EM Volunteer Coordinator at 904-548-0940.
