The harvesters today were Amy, Marlena, Nicole, Diane, Otelia and me. And we won’t know until tomorrow how many pounds our group was able to harvest for the Yuma Community Food Bank. We filled 6 bins. A special thanks to the two farm workers that helped. It’s so much easier when we do the cutting and they do most of the heavy lifting.

It was great. We had four rows, each almost 300 feet long of cauliflower that was almost gone by the end of the event. I was surprised, how popular it was!

Another fun day coming up.

Come join us next Thursday, December 19th, from 9am to Noon for our next UPick event!

Looking to enjoy some fresh, locally grown produce? The Yuma County Cooperative Extension is excited to announce our U-Pick events for the season! This is a fantastic opportunity for community members to engage with local agriculture and pick their own fruits and vegetables.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our bag sponsor, ALLO Fiber Arizona! Your support is invaluable and helps us make this event a success.🤩🤩🤩
