Yutan Days is almost here! To get ready for the festivities, please be aware that we will be closing several streets in Downtown Yutan starting this Thursday, August 13th, 2026 at 4:30 PM.

For your planning and travel, the specific street closures will include:

Vine Street: Closed from 1st Street to the railroad tracks (between 2nd and 3rd Streets).

2nd Street: Closed from Vine Street to Maple Street.

Please plan your alternate routes accordingly and drive safely around the barricades. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we set up for a great community weekend.

Important Update for City of Yutan Residents: Changes to Automatic Utility Payments

Hello Yutan residents! On July 23rd, the City Council passed Resolution No. 2026-13, which updates the withdrawal date for our automated (ACH) utility payments. The City Council approved this change to better align with typical pay cycles, improve administrative processing, and streamline the City's cash flow. Here is what you need to know about the new payment schedule:New Withdrawal Date: Automatic utility payments will now be withdrawn on the 18th of each month, rather than the 5th. Effective Date: This new schedule will begin with the September 2026 billing cycle. Weekends & Holidays: If the 18th falls on a weekend or an observed bank holiday, your payment will be processed on the very next business day. Official Notice: If you are currently enrolled in ACH payments, the City Clerk will be sending you a written notification at least 30 days before this change goes into effect. Do I need to do anything?No action is required on your part if you are already enrolled in automatic payments. The transition to the new date will happen automatically on our end.Thank you for your cooperation as we work to make our billing processes more convenient for everyone! The City of Yutan wants to inform residents that Turtle Roofing has applied for and received a valid solicitor’s permit to operate within city limits.

You may see their representatives going door-to-door in your neighborhoods in the near future.

A few quick reminders for residents:

Ask for ID: All approved solicitors are required to carry and display their official City of Yutan permit if you ask to see it.

No Soliciting Signs: Permitted or not, solicitors are required by law to respect clearly posted "No Soliciting" signs on private property.

Your Choice: You are never under any obligation to answer your door, speak with solicitors, or purchase services.
