Does anybody know who these kids are or whom this truck belongs to. They were at the Yutan Splash Pad on the 12th of July and left something in the park that we would like to return to them. The Yutan Police Department is seeking information regarding a theft last night (5/5/21) of several vehicle batteries in the area of County Road 5 and Hillside Avenue. Please check any camera systems between the hours of midnight and 6am for any suspicious activity.

On 12/3/2020 The Yutan Police Department along with the Saunders County Sheriffs Office were notified of a possible intoxicated driver traveling on Highway 92. The Yutan officer observed the vehicle parked at Cubby’s. The license plate attached to the vehicle were reported stolen from the Lincoln area. The driver appeared as though he was going to flee from the officer at which time a help an officer was requested. A felony stop was initiated in response to the driver not following verbal commands from the officer. The driver was taken in to custody with out incident. Further investigation revealed the truck was stolen from a residence in Lincoln on 12/2/2020. Narcotics were located in the drivers possession and within the vehicle.
The driver Tyler J. Dodge was arrested and booked in to the Saunders County Corrections for:
Felony-Possession of a stolen vehicle
Felony-Possession of Methamphetamine
Felony-Possession with the intent to
distribute
Felony-Possession of money used or to be used to facilitate a violation of the controlled substance law
Misdemeanor-Possession of Ma*****na less than 1oz.
Infraction-Possession of drug paraphernalia

This is an on going investigation as credit cards, identification and social security cards not belonging to the individual were located on his person.

The Yutan Police Department would like to thank the Saunders County Sheriffs Office, Ashland Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol and the citizens who were involved in this incident.

**UPDATE** He has been picked up by his owner.

One of our officers picked up this cute guy on County Road 5 just north of Vine Street. Please call the Yutan Police Department at 402-625-2468 or the City Office at 402-625-2112 to claim him.

The Yutan Police Department is closely monitoring the events taking place in the Metro area. Officers are on duty and on call in case crowds do come to Yutan. At this time there is no information leading us to believe Yutan will see an influx of people.

If you see anything suspicious please contact 911 immediately.

The Yutan Police Department has received numerous reports of vandalism within the last week and is seeking tips from the public. Individuals with information on the vandalism pictured below can contact Crime Stoppers at 402-443-8181 and possibly receive a reward depending on the information provided. Tips can also be called into the Yutan Police Department at 402-625-2468 and the Saunders County Sheriffs Office at 402-443-1000.

This is one of many scams going around. Unfortunately some people lose their life savings falling victim to these scams. Scammers find the elderly to be favorable targets for these types of scams. It can also be difficult for law enforcement to track down these evil doers, due to app generated phone numbers and other circumstances.
