I'm working on a new book, "The Past Calls To Me" tells the story of retired Professor Carolyn Paxton. Although worried about the approaching pandemic of Covin19 virus, she leaves her studio in downtown Zanesville, Ohio, to check if her favorite antique store remains open since everyone is talking about a possible government shutdown of all nonessential businesses. Once inside the store, she's compelled to purchase a Vietnam-era Army helmet. After taking it home, she places it upon her head, and is immediately, and inexplicably drawn back into the past, arriving only months before her husband, Wade, wears a similar one onto a battlefield, where death waits.

Just finished writing Chapter Four of my new novel, "The Past Calls To Me". I'm giving my lead character, seventy-four year old, Art Professor, Carolyn Paxton, a magical chance to go back in time, back to the Vietnam-era, 1964, before her husband's death on the battlefield. Will memories of her future guide her choices? If she makes different decisions, will it change the future that she's already lived? What would we do if we could re-live our lives?

My new novel, "Fire" has been published, and is now available on Amazon, but being housebound I can't get out and promote it, or plan a book signing. If you buy it, let me know if you like, or don't, like it. All comments welcome

Working on a new novel, "The Past Calls To Me". Excited about this story, since I've never written about an elderly lead character. I just typed word, # 5019, and am excited how easily the plot is evolving: Seventy-two year old artist, and teacher, Carolyn Paxton, having lived a lonely, yet productive life, since the death of her husband on a long-ago battlefield in Vietnam, is compelled to purchase a Vietnam-era military helmet in a Zanesville antique store. Returning home, she is unable to resist the urge to place the helmet upon her head. Once she does so, she is magically transported back in time, back into the life she'd shared with her farmer husband, and young daughter.

Just finished the last edit of my manuscript, "Fire", and I have two great people to thank. Thank you, Robert, "my sweet man in Tenn.", and thank you, Gretchen, I haven't come up with a good nickname for you...yet. LOL

Just mailed my latest manuscript, "Mountain's Breath" to "my sweet man in Tenn." Robert Stone to proofread. His gift of time and knowledge keeps me writing. I think this is my favorite story I've written.

Just finished two novels I've been working on for the last thirteen months. "Fire" is a fictional story based on my admiration for firefighters, and the dangers they face on our behalf. "Morning's Breath" is a fictional story, inspired by my last trip to the Kentucky mountains, and my fascination with kudzu formations. It is the story of a young girl, caught between her hatred of coal mining, and her attraction to the mine owner's son. "Fire" is still being proofread by "my sweet man in Tenn." Robert Stone, and I just finished my last editing of "Morning's Breath".

My 19th novel, "Fire" is in the hands of Robert Stone, "my sweet man in Tenn." who is proofreading the manuscript. I'm also working on my 20th novel, "Mountain's Breath". Just passed the 51,000 word mark, and am working on paintings for the front and back cover.

I'm taking my characters in my newest novel, "Mountain's Breath" from the mountains of Kentucky to New York City. Oaklynn Green, growing up the daughter of a poor coal miner, dreams of becoming a published author, and the man who loves her, Raine Greyson, son of the wealthy coal mine owner, who has trained to be a concert pianist. So I anticipate doing a lot of research on the city.
