West Muskingum High School athletics ended the 2025-26 school year with a bang! We had two more All-Ohio performances from our boys track team. The 4x200 team finished 4th in the State and the 4x100 team finished 7th in the State.

Congratulations to Jaxson Prang, Grant Rogers, Aiden Metz, Tavyn Hains, and Morgan Pennington on an outstanding State meet performance.

Congratulations Gannin!

Congratulations to Gannin Graves!! 🎉 He's participating in the Summer Internship program and is employed with Hittle Electric, Inc. Gannin is a student in the Electrical Technologies Program at the Zanesville Campus, and his partner district is West Muskingum Local Schools.

The West Muskingum Track & Field Team will be sending six athletes to compete in four events at this week's OHSAA State Meet.

State qualifiers are:
Senior Jaxson Prang- 200, 4x200, 4x100
Junior Grant Rogers- 4x200, 4x100
Junior Tavyn Hains- 4x200, 4x100
Junior Carter Smith- High Jump
Junior Aiden Metz- 4x200
Freshman Morgan Pennington- 4x100

During this past weekend's Regional meet, two new school records were set in the 4x200 and 4x100 relays. The 4x200 relay were Regional Champions, along with the 4x100 relay as Regional Runner-up.

The athletes will compete this Thursday at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. Five of the six athletes also qualified for Adidas Nationals in June. More details to come.

West Muskingum Schools held its Staff Recognition Program this morning to close out the 2025-26 school year and to honor employees for their years of service.

Recognized were:

20 YEARS: Paula Davis, James Fineran, John Kimble and Heidi Wagner
