Zane Grey Rd will be closed Monday, September 28th from 8:00 AM until Wednesday September 30th at 8:00 AM for concrete pavement repairs. The closure will be 50’ south of the intersection of US 40 . Please seek alternate routes.

Brush Creek Township will be closing Haver Hill Road daily (weather permitting) beginning Monday, September 28th until Friday, October 2nd for slip repairs.

Heavy rains continue and we are under a flood warning. As you travel to the south of Muskingum County, it is worse. It would be a good idea to check ohgo.com for road conditions before you travel today.

The US National Weather Service Wilmington OH says storms moving across southern Ohio are slowing down and dumping a ton of rain. There are concerns about flooding over the next several hours, especially in areas where ground is saturated and water is already high. Be extra alert if traveling. It is much harder to see flooded roadways at night. Remember, never drive through high water or around barricades. Check OHGO.com for the latest travel alerts.

The Coopermill Bridge replacement has been completed and the road is open. Thank you for being patient. The severe weather certainly caused some delays, but we are glad it is now back open.

The hot and humid air mass across the region will last one more day. The exception is across west central Ohio where there will be more clouds due to showers and thunderstorms this morning. Looking ahead, it will not be as warm on Friday although still humid near and south of the Ohio River.

Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected today and into the overnight. A few strong to severe storms are expected this afternoon and evening, but locally heavy rainfall will remain a concern into Thursday morning.

[3:36 PM] While not all areas will see the heaviest rainfall amounts, a Flood Watch is in effect until 2pm Thursday as multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected. Saturated ground from recent rainfall supports the potential for flash flooding and river flooding.
