The Muskingum County Engineer's Office maintains 528 miles of county roads and 415 bridges that are located on county and township roadways. Doug Davis is your County Engineer, and he took office in 2005. The staff consists of 9 office and 35 highway personnel. The operating budget varies from year to year, but averages approximately $4.9 million annually. The Engineer's Office has secured over $30 million in federal and state grants from 2005 through fiscal year 2019.

If you work in Columbus, you cannot take Interstate 70 to work today. It is flooded at Buckeye Lake.

The South Fork of the Licking River along I-70 near Buckeye Lake is in Major Flood this morning. High water is covering I-70, just west of SR-79. If you are traveling, make sure you have an alternate route.
