MY WEEKEND OWES ME NOTHING. ❤️
This weekend was about more than staying busy or checking things off a list. It was about showing up, making connections, and being present in the community I love.
Soccer
Football with the Zebulon Aggies
Motorcycle Club Event
Rainbow Tea at Beavers Chapel Church
Adult Track Meet
Boys & Girls Club 5K
Quality time with family
Every stop gave me another opportunity to connect with people, support our youth, celebrate our neighbors, encourage our athletes, support our churches and organizations, and simply enjoy the people who make this community special.
I’ve learned that making a difference doesn’t always require a microphone, a title, or a big announcement.
Sometimes, it simply requires showing up.
Show up for our children.
Show up for our seniors.
Show up for our churches.
Show up for our athletes.
Show up for our small businesses and community organizations.
Show up for your neighbors.
And most importantly, show up for each other.
When we step outside of our comfort zones and take the time to connect, we often discover that we have far more in common than we realize.
Community doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built intentionally one conversation, one handshake, one event, and one meaningful moment at a time.
This weekend was another reminder of why I love where I live and why I believe so strongly in the power of community.
Let’s keep showing up.
Let’s keep connecting.
Let’s keep encouraging one another.
And let’s keep building a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and included.
UNITY THROUGH COMMUNITY
