🏡✨ What an AMAZING day at WCHA! ✨🏡

The Housing Authority of the County of Wake was excited to host a NACA Homeownership Event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for our Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program participants and Housing Choice Voucher participants interested in learning more about the FSS Program! 🎉

Participants had the opportunity to learn more about homeownership, financial preparation, and the resources available to help families work toward self-sufficiency and their homeownership goals. 💰🏠

Through the five-year FSS Program, eligible participants receive support and resources designed to help them build financial stability, achieve personal goals, and work toward greater economic independence. For many families, this can be an important step on the journey toward homeownership! 🔑🏡

We are so proud of everyone who took the time to attend, learn, ask questions, and invest in their future. ❤️

A BIG thank-you to our FSS Coordinator, Timia Johnson, for helping make this wonderful event possible and for her continued dedication to supporting WCHA families! 👏🏽🎉

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of Wake ("HACW"), scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., has been cancelled. This notice is hereby given pursuant to the Housing Authority of the County of Wake By-Laws and N. C. G. S. § 143-318.12.

The meeting was scheduled to be held at the Wake County Commons Building, 4011 Carya Drive, Room 103, Raleigh, NC, and via Zoom.

PLEASE NOTE: The Public Hearing to discuss the Housing Authority of the County of Wake's Agency Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2027 will continue as scheduled.

The Public Hearing will proceed at the previously scheduled time and location.

This Notice of Cancellation is issued the 9th day of September 2026.
