Tonight, members of Zionville Volunteer Fire Department had the opportunity to participate in Landing Zone (LZ) training with Highlands. Our crews worked together to review proper landing zone setup, safety procedures, communication, and coordination when preparing for an air medical helicopter.

Training like this is essential to ensure that when the call comes, our firefighters are prepared to safely and efficiently establish an LZ and assist with getting patients the critical care they need.

A big thank you to Highlands Emergency Air Rescue & Transport for coming out and training with us tonight!

Reminder. Tomorrow!!!!

🚨🚨🚨Fire Truck Parade!!🚨🚨🚨
After some requests, this year we are bringing back our district parade. On Sunday June 28th beginning at 2pm we will celebrate this years Independence Day with a parade around our district. Trucks will be decorated in honor of America's 250th Birthday. All our trucks will be in the parade, which we are now up to 10! This includes our brand new Engine 2 and UTV 1 that was placed into service last year, as well as our brand new Brush 1, that has not been placed into service just yet. Below is map of the route as well as turn by turn directions. Be sure to give us a wave as we will make it heard that we are coming down the road!!!!!!!!

🚨 🚒 6/6 SMOKE ALARM SATURDAY 🔥 🏠

Firefighters from ZVFD will be out in the community tomorrow installing FREE smoke alarms for residences who are in need of them.

It also the time to check all your, we will be happy to fome take a look.

👨‍🚒 If you are interested, please let us know. We will be starting at 8am tomorrow. We are very excited to be out in our community tomorrow.

😅 Tomorrow doesn’t work for for you? Don’t sweat it. We will be happy to come out year-round, just let us know.

🚨 SMOKE ALARM SATURDAY 🚨

This Saturday, members of the Zionville Fire Department will be out in the community knocking on doors and installing smoke alarms to help keep our residents safe.

Working smoke alarms save lives, and we want to make sure every home has the protection it needs. If you need a smoke alarm installed, or if you know someone who could benefit from one, please send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

We’ll be out and about throughout the day, so don’t be surprised if you see our firefighters in your neighborhood!

Together, we can make Zionville a safer place for everyone.

This past Monday, members of the Zionville Fire Department participated in vehicle fire training focused on safe fire suppression, scene safety, and teamwork.

Training like this helps keep our firefighters prepared to protect and serve the community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this training possible. 🚒🔥

Tomorrow is the day!!!! Everyone come out for family fun 🚒🚑

We are two weeks out from this year's Emergency Fest at Watauga High School! Get ready to get up close to some BIG TRUCKS and some local First Responder Rock Stars!!! Do you have what it takes to be a hero? Come hang out with some of ours! 10:00-1:00 on Saturday, May 16th!

On Saturday, Zionville Fire got to participate in a live burn training in Boone with other mutual aid departments. We would like to thank Boone Fire for the invite. A valuable learning experience and good fellowship with other departments.
