Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🚌🌿♻️

Our entire school had an exciting and educational field trip to two important sites: the CWSA Solid Waste Landfill at Diamond and the Madeira Valley Forest Park!

At the landfill, students got a firsthand look at how waste is managed and the importance of proper disposal and recycling. Then, at the forest park, they explored the beauty of our natural environment while learning about conservation and the role of forests in protecting our planet.

It was a day filled with valuable lessons on sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the importance of caring for our island home.

We just wrapped up an amazing week of activities focused on Literacy, Numeracy, and Science, and what an enriching experience it has been! Our students had the opportunity to participate in a range of engaging events, including:

✨ Spelling Bee – Testing their vocabulary and spelling skills
➕ Math Quiz – Sharpening their problem-solving abilities
🧪 Science Experiments & Quiz – Bringing science to life with hands-on learning
🎲 Games – Enhancing critical thinking and strategy skills through fun challenges
🤝 Community Outreach – Visiting and sharing moments with the elderly
🎩 Hats Off to Reading – Celebrating the joy of books in creative ways
💼 Career Day – Exploring future aspirations with special guests
🏴‍☠️ Treasure Hunt – A thrilling and fun-filled conclusion to our week
