We will have to wait one more weekend to reopen, but we look forward to seeing you soon!

We hope everyone has been doing well. Now that cases are on the decline, we’re planning on reopening next Saturday! We’ve been working hard to build shelves for our expanded children’s books section and can’t wait for you to see it. 🛠📚💕 Stop in for some fun books, colouring pages and treats before summer is over.

We wish everyone a happy 67th August Emancipation Festival this week! 🇻🇬❤️ We’re glad to see the number of active Covid-19 cases starting to go down, and hopefully the library will be able to safely reopen on Saturdays soon. Our hearts go out to every family affected by this surge. For anyone looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday from home, check out the colouring page below. (Do you know the official territorial colours and what they represent? Answers below.) When the library does reopen, we’ll be sure to have a little treat 🍬 for any young artists who want to share their drawings.

We had looked forward to reopening tomorrow after a brief break, but given the current Covid-19 surge in the community, the smartest decision seems to be to wait until the situation is more stable. We miss our visitors but want to do our part to limit person-to-person exposure. If there is anything we can do to help in the meantime, you can reach us through messenger.

Have fun celebrating Olympic Day 2021 with a book about sports! We’ll be open from 10-11 a.m. today. We will be closed on June 26 and July 3, but look for some cool updates to our children’s lit section when we return!

We have some fun new toys available for our young readers who love nature. Swing by and check out our books on animals, dinosaurs, pirates and all sorts of fun to kick off the summer. We’re open now to 2 p.m. by the Red Cross.

Happy Saturday! We had so much fun checking out books and hosting our first book club meeting earlier this month. Cheers to A Novel Bunch! We’ll be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the BVI Readinf Council office, next to BVI Red Cross in town. See you there!

We’re sad to say the library will be closed today due to a delay in our staff being cleared from quarantine. Though no one is sick, our priority is always the health and well-being of our visitors. We look forward to serving you next weekend. 💖
