ERU / EAP BVI What is EAP? A counseling assistance programme that was establish in 2003 by the Department of Human Resources, Government of the Virgin Islands.

Department of Human Resources' Employee Relations Unit (ERU) offers confidential support, staff training, recognition ceremonies, and assistance with grief or personal challenges to public officers across the Government of the Virgin Islands at no cost. It was designed with Public Officers in mind to aid them in free confidential professional counseling, and referral service and is available all P

ublic Officers. We exist to provide services that would assist Public Officers when they are experiencing personal and work-related problems that are affecting their performance or peace of mind. We provide support to supervisors and managers and offer referral services of Officers to EAP showing them ways to be effective in intervention. Services Offered:
*Individual and Group Counseling
*Crisis Interventions and Mediation
*Departmental Intervention and Presentations
*Supervisory Consultation and training

How to Access EAP:
-Call us- 468-9889 - Feel free to call directly and make appointments
-Email us- [email protected] All emails sent by you EAP are confidential
-Walk In- Problems may arise suddenly, feel free to show-up and an EAP counselor will assist you
-Supervisor’s Referral- May refer you if they notice that your performance drops or your going through a rough time.

✨ Thank You, Tortola! ✨

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and joined the Employee Relations Unit yesterday for the first ERU Public Service Run/Walk Club walk on Tortola. Your presence, your energy, and your commitment to showing up truly made the experience meaningful. We appreciate each and every one of you!

We are already looking forward to seeing you again next week as we continue building momentum together. 💪🏽

For our next Motivational Wednesday activity, we will be doing our “Finish the Sentence” circle:

“I showed up today even though…”

Take a moment before our walk to reflect on what your response might be. What did you push through? What did you overcome just to be present?

We will share our reflections at the end of our walk because sometimes simply showing up is a powerful victory. 🌟

🌿👟 ERU Public Service Run/Walk Club – Happening TODAY! 👟🌿

The Employee Relations Unit (ERU) is excited to officially kick off our ERU Public Service Run/Walk Club, “Small Steps: Big Impact” right here on Tortola today!

📍 Behind the Ralph T O'Neal Administration Complex
🗓 Wednesday, 18 February 2026
⏰ 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Today, we will take our first 10 steps together as a united Public Service, followed by a commemorative group photo to mark this special occasion 📸✨

Our official launch event in collaboration with BVI Moves on Saturday, 14 February was a great success, with over 30 participants in attendance! Thank you to everyone who came out to support, and special thanks to Mr. Mitch Gordon for leading such an engaging and energetic session.

We also had a great turnout in Virgin Gorda on Monday, and the energy and enthusiasm were amazing! Thank you to everyone who continues to show up and support this wellness initiative.

🏃🏽‍♀️ Weekly Walk Schedule:
• Mondays | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Virgin Gorda
• Wednesdays | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Tortola
• Thursdays | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Anegada (Official club walk begins 26 February 2026)

📌 Participation includes a points system contributing to Public Service Week, officially commencing the week of 16–20 February 2026.

Let’s show up in strong numbers as we continue building a healthier, more connected Public Service, one step at a time.
