St. Croix Central High School Welcome to the official St. Croix Central High School page. Home of the Caribs! Knowledge is Power! The original building in Christiansted is now the V.I. Croix.

Central High opened in 1967 as a successor to Christiansted High School which was established in 1935. Department of Education Building, St. Croix District. In 1968, the school held its first graduation ceremony of which one hundred fifty seniors received their diplomas. Central High is located near the Queen Mary Highway, the facility encompasses forty-two acres with thirteen buildings. It is als

o located near the Kingshill Cemetery. Central High School is also home to the Ronald Charles Gymnasium which is the largest indoor sports venue on the island of St. The gymnasium is used to play its basketball games, its volleyball games, school activities, assemblies, seminars, and has even hosted an ice show.

Congratulations are in order for our Israel Popo on being selected as one of the eight recipients of the Ocean Point Terminals Scholarship Awardees for the 2026-2027 school year! 🎉🎊🥳

Israel is a current student at Tulsa Welding School in the Professional Welder program and will also study Pipefitting once the first program ends. 👨🏽‍🏭🎇

According to The VI Consortium, “Ocean Point announced the recipients of its annual scholarship program on August 19. The company said awards are based on academic achievement, financial need and overall applicant merit and are intended to support students pursuing degrees and certifications at accredited colleges, universities and technical or vocational institutions across the United States.”

Congratulations are also extended to our Carib Faculty & Staff whose children are this year’s recipients: Dean Croskey (Keemar), Teachers Ms. Llanos (Israel) & Ms. Poyah (Ace), Counselor Titus ( Kleniya)! 🎉

📣 CARIB FAMILIES — SAVE THE DATES!

This week, our students participated in grade-level assemblies, where we reviewed expectations, academic goals, graduation requirements, attendance, student responsibilities, and the supports available to help every Carib succeed.

Now, we’re continuing the conversation with our parents and families! Join us for our upcoming Grade Level Parent Meetings in the St. Croix Central High School Cafeteria at 5:30 PM:

🔴 Tuesday, August 25
9th Grade Parents of freshmen: Come learn about graduation requirements, credits, academic expectations, attendance, and the important milestones your student must meet as they begin their high school journey. Start strong and know what it takes to stay on track for graduation!

🔴 Wednesday, August 26
10th & 11th Grades
Parents of sophomores and juniors: High school is moving quickly! Learn how to check your student’s progress toward graduation, understand credit requirements, address credit deficiencies, and prepare for the important academic and postsecondary decisions ahead.

🔴 Thursday, August 27 — 12th Grade: Parents of seniors:
It’s SENIOR YEAR! 🎓 Join us for important information about graduation eligibility and requirements, the senior-year calendar, deadlines, activities, events, and what your senior must accomplish to cross the stage with the Class of 2027.

These meetings are an opportunity to receive important grade-level information, ask questions, connect with school leadership, and ensure that students, families, and the school are working together toward one goal — SUCCESS!
