🕯️ Kỷ niệm ngày nổ ra Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ hai

Ngày 1 tháng 9 năm 1939 là một trong những ngày quan trọng và bi thảm nhất trong lịch sử Ba Lan. Vào ngày đó, Đức đã xâm lược Ba Lan và bắt đầu Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ Hai.

Sau Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ Nhất, châu Âu vẫn chưa thực sự hòa bình. Nhiều quốc gia vẫn đang phải đối mặt với căng thẳng chính trị và khó khăn kinh tế. Giữa bối cảnh bất ổn đó, có Ba Lan– một quốc gia chỉ mới giành lại độc lập vào năm 1918 sau hơn 100 năm bị chia cắt và chịu sự chiếm đóng của nước ngoài.

Ba Lan vẫn đang trong quá trình tái thiết. Người dân hy vọng vào hòa bình và một tương lai tốt đẹp hơn. Chính phủ Ba Lan đã cố gắng tránh một cuộc chiến tranh khác bằng cách ký kết các thỏa thuận và xây dựng liên minh với các quốc gia khác. Ba Lan đã liên minh với Pháp và Romania và, vào năm 1939, nhận được sự đảm bảo an ninh từ Anh và Pháp trong trường hợp bị Đức tấn công. Ba Lan cũng đã ký hiệp ước không xâm lược với Liên Xô năm 1932 và với Đức năm 1934.

Bất chấp những nỗ lực ngoại giao này, ngày càng rõ ràng rằng châu Âu đang tiến gần hơn đến một cuộc chiến tranh khác. Vào ngày 1 tháng 9 năm 1939, Đức tấn công Ba Lan mà không có tuyên chiến chính thức.

Thị trấn Wieluń của Ba Lan là một trong những nơi đầu tiên bị ném bom ở Ba Lan. Sáng sớm, quân Đức đã ném bom và phá hủy khoảng 75% thị trấn, bao gồm cả bệnh viện và nhiều tòa nhà lịch sử. Hàng trăm thường dân đã thiệt mạng. Vụ ném bom xảy ra đột ngột và không báo trước, trở thành một trong những thảm kịch đầu tiên của cuộc chiến.

Cùng ngày hôm đó, thiết giáp hạm Schleswig-Holstein của Đức đã nổ súng vào kho quân sự Ba Lan tại Westerplatte gần Gdańsk. Về mặt chính thức, con tàu được mời đến thăm xã giao để tưởng niệm các thủy thủ Đức được chôn cất tại Gdańsk. Trên thực tế, nó đã nhận được mệnh lệnh bí mật là bắt đầu cuộc tấn công vào Ba Lan. Đối với nhiều người, vụ pháo kích Westerplatte tượng trưng cho sự khởi đầu của Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ hai. Bản thân thiết giáp hạm trở thành biểu tượng của cuộc xâm lược tàn bạo.

Cuộc chiến kéo dài sáu năm. Nó trở thành một trong những cuộc xung đột đẫm máu nhất trong lịch sử hiện đại. Ước tính hơn sáu triệu công dân Ba Lan đã thiệt mạng trong chiến tranh. Thiệt hại về vật chất và tài chính là vô cùng lớn. Di sản văn hóa bị cướp bóc hoặc phá hủy. Ba Lan phải bắt đầu xây dựng lại từ đầu.

Ngày kỷ niệm này là thời điểm để tưởng nhớ những người đã hy sinh trong thời kỳ đen tối của chiến tranh cũng như khẳng định lại giá trị của hòa bình.

🕯️ Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Second World War

September 1st, 1939 is one of the most important and tragic dates in Polish history. On that day, Germany invaded Poland and started the Second World War.
After the First World War, Europe was far from peaceful. Many countries were still dealing with political tensions and economic problems. In the middle of this uncertain situation stood Poland – a country that had only regained independence in 1918 after more than 100 years of partitions and foreign occupation.

Poland was still rebuilding itself. People hoped for peace and a better future. The Polish government tried to avoid another war by signing agreements and building alliances with other countries. Poland formed alliances with France and Romania and, in 1939, received security guarantees from Great Britain and France in the event of a German attack. Poland also signed non-aggression pacts with the Soviet Union in 1932 and with Germany in 1934.

Despite these diplomatic efforts, it became increasingly clear that Europe was moving closer to another war. On September 1st, 1939, Germany attacked Poland without a formal declaration of war.

Polish town of Wieluń was one of the first places bombed in Poland. Early in the morning, Germans bombed and destroyed around 75% of the town, including the hospital and many historic buildings. Hundreds of civilians were killed. The bombing happened suddenly and without warning, becoming one of the first tragedies of the war.

On the same day, the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein opened fire on the Polish military depot at Westerplatte near Gdańsk. Officially, the ship was invited for a courtesy visit to honour German sailors buried in Gdańsk. In reality, it had secret orders to begin the attack on Poland. For many people, the shelling of Westerplatte symbolised the beginning of the Second World War. The battleship itself became a symbol of the treacherous invasion.

The war lasted six years. It became one of the bloodiest conflicts in modern history. It is estimated that over six million Polish citizens lost their lives during the war. The material and financial losses were immense. Cultural heritage was looted or destroyed. Poland had to start rebuilt itself again.

This anniversary serves as a moment to honour those who perished during these dark times of war as well as reaffirm the value of peace.

🇵🇱 Ngày Lực lượng Vũ trang Ba Lan

Hôm qua, Đại sứ quán Cộng hòa Ba Lan tại Hà Nội đã tổ chức tiệc chiêu đãi nhân dịp Ngày Lực lượng Vũ trang Ba Lan - một dịp để tôn vinh sự cống hiến của những người lính Ba Lan và suy ngẫm về tầm quan trọng của việc đầu tư vào an ninh và quốc phòng. Thành viên của các đoàn ngoại giao, đoàn ngoại giao quân sự, cựu chiến binh, đoàn đại biểu Bộ Quốc phòng Việt Nam, cựu sinh viên từng học tập tại các trường đại học Ba Lan cũng như đại diện cộng đồng người Ba Lan tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh đã tham dự buổi lễ. Chúng tôi cũng hân hạnh chào đón sự hiện diện đông đảo của ngành công nghiệp quốc phòng Ba Lan.

Phát biểu trước các vị khách mời, Trưởng phái đoàn đã nhấn mạnh: “Ba Lan là thành viên của NATO và Liên minh châu Âu. Chúng tôi tham gia các liên minh trên khắp thế giới, tin tưởng rằng cùng nhau chúng ta an toàn hơn, mạnh mẽ hơn, sáng suốt hơn và được trang bị tốt hơn để bảo vệ độc lập, tự do, chủ quyền lãnh thổ và các chuẩn mực của luật pháp quốc tế. Tháng trước, Ba Lan đã gia nhập Hiệp ước Thân Thiện và Hợp tác với ASEAN, thể hiện cam kết nghiêm túc của chúng tôi đối với khu vực này.

Ba Lan đang xây dựng Lực lượng Vũ trang hùng mạnh và hiện đại, sẵn sàng và có khả năng bảo vệ hiệu quả không chỉ biên giới bên ngoài của Ba Lan mà còn cả toàn bộ Liên minh châu Âu và NATO.”

Ba Lan đang tiến hành hiện đại hóa lực lượng vũ trang một cách chưa từng có, đồng thời tăng cường ngành công nghiệp quốc phòng trong nước và năng lực công nghệ. Một yếu tố quan trọng của nỗ lực này là SAFE –Hành động An ninh vì Châu Âu, một công cụ của EU cung cấp các khoản vay dài hạn lên đến 150 tỷ euro nhằm hỗ trợ các khoản đầu tư quốc phòng lớn và mua sắm chung trên khắp châu Âu. Ba Lan là quốc gia thụ hưởng lớn nhất từ SAFE, với quyền tiếp cận lên đến 43,7 tỷ euro - khoản phân bổ lớn nhất cho bất kỳ quốc gia thành viên EU nào.

Đối với Ba Lan, SAFE không chỉ là một công cụ tài chính. Đó là một cơ hội để đầu tư vào các năng lực hiện đại - hơn 80% chương trình SAFE của Ba Lan dự kiến sẽ được thực hiện thông qua ngành công nghiệp quốc phòng Ba Lan, hỗ trợ sản xuất, đổi mới và tạo việc làm trên khắp cả nước.

Nhân Ngày Lực lượng Vũ trang Ba Lan, chúng tôi xin bày tỏ lòng kính trọng đối với những người phụ nữ và nam giới đang phục vụ để làm cho Ba Lan, Châu Âu và Liên minh an toàn hơn.

🇵🇱 Polish Armed Forces Day

Yesterday, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi hosted a reception on the occasion of Polish Armed Forces Day - a moment to honour the service of Polish soldiers and to reflect on the importance of investing in our security and defence. Members of the diplomatic corps, military diplomatic corps, veterans, delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence, alumni of Polish universities as well as representatives of the Polish community from Ho Chi Minh City joined the celebration. We also welcomed a strong representation of Polish defence industry.

Addressing the audience the Head of Mission recalled: “Poland is a member of NATO and European Union. We join alliances around the world, believing that together we are safer, stronger, wiser and better equipped to defend independence, freedom, territorial sovereignty, and the norms of the international law. Last month Poland joined the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation with ASEAN proving our serious commitment to this region.

Poland is building powerful and modern Armed Forces that are ready and able to effectively defend not only Poland's external borders, but also the entire European Union and NATO.”

Poland is undertaking an unprecedented modernisation of its Armed Forces, while at the same time strengthening its domestic defence industry and technological capabilities. A major element of this effort is SAFE - Security Action for Europe, the EU instrument providing up to €150 billion in long-term loans to support major defence investments and joint procurement across Europe. Poland is the largest beneficiary of SAFE, with access to up to €43.7 billion - the largest allocation to any EU Member State.

For Poland, SAFE is more than a financing instrument. It is an opportunity to invest in modern capabilities - more than 80% of Poland’s SAFE programme is planned to be implemented through the Polish defence industry, supporting production, innovation, and jobs across the country.

On Polish Armed Forces Day we pay tribute to men and women who serve to make Poland, Europe and the Alliance safer.

Ngày Nhân đạo Thế giới 🌍

Hôm nay, nhân Ngày Nhân đạo Thế giới, chúng tôi xin bày tỏ lòng biết ơn đối với những người làm công tác nhân đạo, những người đang mang đến sự trợ giúp cứu sinh cho những người bị ảnh hưởng bởi các cuộc xung đột và khủng hoảng trên khắp thế giới.

Ba Lan hỗ trợ hoạt động nhân đạo thông qua các tổ chức phi chính phủ của Ba Lan, Liên Hợp Quốc và Ủy ban Chữ thập đỏ Quốc tế. Trong năm 2026, hơn 19,8 triệu PLN đã được phân bổ cho hơn 16 dự án nhân đạo cung cấp lương thực, hỗ trợ y tế, nước sạch và chỗ ở, trong khi khoảng 37 triệu PLN đã được dành cho hoạt động nhân đạo thông qua các kênh đa phương.

World Humanitarian Day 🌍

Today, on World Humanitarian Day, we express our gratitude to humanitarian workers who provide life-saving assistance to people affected by conflicts and crises around the world.

Poland supports humanitarian action through Polish NGOs, the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross. In 2026, more than PLN 19.8 million has been allocated to over 16 humanitarian projects providing food, medical assistance, water and shelter, while around PLN 37 million has been earmarked for humanitarian action through multilateral channels.

On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to those who work on the ground to provide assistance where it is needed most.
