The Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, Alessandra Tognonato, was honoured to attend the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026, held in Nha Trang from 17 to 19 July, in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, and H.E. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

The Festival celebrated the rich cultural identity and maritime heritage of Khanh Hoa Province through a vibrant programme of events, with highlights including the Ao Dai Festival "Colours of the Sea" and "Symphony of the Blue Sea – A Convergence of Colors." 🎊🇻🇳

Bà Alessandra Tognonato, Tổng Lãnh sự Ý tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, đã vinh dự tham dự Lễ hội Biển Khánh Hòa 2026, được tổ chức tại Nha Trang từ ngày 17 đến 19 tháng 7, cùng với ông Nguyễn Việt Hùng, Chủ tịch Ủy ban Nhân dân tỉnh Khánh Hòa, và bà Võ Thị Anh Xuân, Phó Chủ tịch nước Cộng hòa Xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam.

Lễ hội đã tôn vinh bản sắc văn hóa phong phú và di sản biển của tỉnh Khánh Hòa thông qua một chương trình sự kiện sôi động, với điểm nhấn là Lễ hội Áo dài "Sắc màu Biển cả" và "Bản giao hưởng Biển xanh - Sự hội tụ sắc màu".

Il Console Generale d'Italia a Ho Chi Minh City, Alessandra Tognanoto, ha avuto l'onore di partecipare al Festival del Mare di Khanh Hoa 2026, svoltosi a Nha Trang dal 17 al 19 luglio, alla presenza del Sig. La Console Generale Alessandra Tognonato ha partecipato alla cerimonia per il 50° anniversario della rinomina di Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, presieduta dal Segretario Generale del Partito Comunista del Vietnam e Presidente della Repubblica, To Lam, alla presenza del Segretario del Comitato del Partito di Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Luu Quang, e delle massime autorità cittadine.

La cerimonia ha celebrato una ricorrenza di profondo significato storico, ripercorrendo i cinquant'anni di sviluppo di Ho Chi Minh City e il suo ruolo di principale motore economico e polo dell'innovazione del Vietnam.

Tổng Lãnh sự Ý tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, bà Alessandra Tognonato, đã tham dự Lễ kỷ niệm 50 năm đổi tên Sài Gòn thành Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. For over 30 years, Italy has supported the preservation of My Son through the Lerici Foundation, with the backing of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN IN DIPLOMACY 🌷 24 JUNE

🌷Today we celebrate the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, recognising the vital contribution of women in shaping a more representative and effective diplomacy. In recent years, the presence of women in Italian diplomacy has steadily grown, alongside their role in positions of responsibility—marking a concrete shift towards a more inclusive and merit-based system.

In this spirit, Consul General Alessandra Tognonato participated today in a programme bringing together eight women Consuls General 🇳🇱🇮🇹🇩🇪🇬🇧🇨🇦🇦🇺🇮🇩🇹🇭 and female students from the Faculty of International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM), hosted by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.

🌍 Around eight thematic tables, discussions focused on leadership, resilience and the courage to speak up—even when you are the youngest or the only woman in the room.

💬 As the CG shared today: “Study hard, stay curious and daring, and continue building both your professional skills and your cultural awareness. Most importantly, believe in yourself, challenge prejudice, and remain true to your values and ideas”.
