🎉🇻🇺 **Celebrating Vanuatu’s Independence Day and 2024 Referendum Victory!** 🇻🇺🎉

Today, we mark a monumental milestone in Vanuatu’s history as we celebrate not only our cherished Independence Day but also the resounding success of the 2024 referendum! This day stands as a testament to our nation’s spirit, unity, and determination.

Congratulations to Hon. Johnny Koanapo, Minister of Internal Affairs, for your exceptional leadership and successful oversight of the 2024 referendum. Your vision and dedication have been crucial for Vanuatu at this pivotal moment. We also extend our gratitude to Lieth Veremaito, Director General of Internal Affairs, for your outstanding management and support, and to Executive Officer Simon Tor for your vital contributions and diligent work. Fred Samuel, National Coordinator, deserves recognition for your exceptional coordination and ex*****on. Jennifer Kausei, Chairlady of the COMS team, has demonstrated outstanding leadership, and Sale Sumbe and Antoine Malsungai, as key members of the COMS team. Special thanks to Mike Esrom and his team for their instrumental role in the Voice Blo Yumi project, which was pivotal in initiating the movement that led to the referendum. Other regions like Malekula in Malampa Province and Tanna in Tafea Province had substantial void votes, while smaller constituencies such as Paama and Tongoa had minimal void votes. Overseas votes showed moderate void counts, particularly from New Zealand and Australia. Overall, the distribution of void votes highlights discrepancies in ballot validity across regions and underscores challenges in voter education and accessibility.

These discrepancies can arise from various factors such as:

-Differences in voter understanding or awareness about how to correctly fill out a ballot.
-Variations in the accessibility and effectiveness of voter education programs.
-Challenges related to the availability of information due to lack of network or data.
-Possible intentional acts of spoiling ballots or refusal to vote.
