The roads throughout West, North and North-East Efate have recently been upgraded, making travel smoother and reducing travel time to and from Port Vila. However, all drivers are reminded that safe driving must remain the highest priority.

Friendly Drivers Remainder: 🚧🚦🛣
🚦Obey the posted speed limits.
🚸 Reduce speed on loose gravel and uneven road sections.
🚸 Slow down when approaching villages, schools, churches, markets, and bus stops.
🚸 Be alert for children, pedestrians, cyclists, livestock, and other road users.
🟡 Maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles.
🟡 Drive according to weather and road conditions, especially during rain.
🟡 Ensure passengers are safely seated before moving the vehicle.
🟡 Avoid dangerous overtaking and reckless driving.
🟡 Perform daily vehicle safety checks before commencing work.

The North Efate Area Council invites all Community Leaders from the North, West, Nguna/Pele, Emau, and East Efate Area Councils to attend an important HIV & Health Awareness program.

Community leaders who have received the invitation, please represent your community and be part of this important awareness at Emua Village. Your Presence, represent your community, you are the channel to disseminate this important information to your community.

Engineers Without Boarders Program!

Over the Last two weeks, we were thrilled to host a group of university students from different Universities in (Australia) as part of their immersive program here in Vanuatu!

As part of their learning journey, the Universities students spent two (2) weeks in North Efate and a day in Nguna island, visited the project sites to gain firsthand insights into the work being done on the ground. their studies base on government structure to community level, response during and after a disaster, sanitation project, connection of Donners to community level. or the non. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase innovative projects, and highlight the impact of community-based projects.

Big thanks to the students and faculty for their interest, energy, and meaningful engagement—we hope the experience was as inspiring for you as it was for us!
