Old air cons have a habit of sticking around. Long after they stop working they sit in storerooms, garages and back corners, mostly because there has never been an obvious place for them to go.

That is what our yard is for. One unit from home or a whole set from an office refit, split system or window box, still running or long dead, we will take it. Drop it at either yard, or give us a call and we will come and collect.

From there it is handled the right way, instead of the unit rusting away behind a building.

Vanuatu, we are celebrating with you. This week we honour our pikinini on Children's Day, and next week we mark 46 years of independence for this beautiful nation. From our teams in Vila and Santo, we are proud to celebrate both alongside our communities.

Old lead acid batteries stack up fast, and left sitting around they leak acid and lead into your yard and the ground water below it.

RecycleCorp takes car, truck and solar batteries and sends them to a trusted recycler, where the lead, acid and plastic are all recovered and turned into new products. Nothing goes to landfill.

Have a single dead battery or a whole pile? We pay per kilo either way, and we will come and collect if you have 10 or more.

We take your old household metal, from dead kettles to washing machines.

Old household metal does not belong in the rubbish. Dead kettles and toasters, worn out power tools, a washing machine that has given up, bent cutlery, and the tin of old nails and bolts in the shed are all scrap we take. We sort the metal and ship it out to be recycled instead of leaving it to rust in landfill. Bring it to the yard in Vila or Santo and we will take it off your hands.

Need it moved? We will bring the truck.

Got a load that will not fit in the ute? We hire out two crane trucks and our Hyundai tipper, each with an experienced driver. Shifting machinery, moving containers, lifting engines into boats, transporting an old vehicle, running material around the island or a load to the tip. We can often turn things around at short notice.

That motor that finally gave out doesn't have to be the end of the story.

Burnt-out water pumps, seized engines, dead fan motors, alternators, power tool guts. They look like finished junk, but they are full of metal that can be melted down and made into something new instead of being dug out of the ground. Recycling metal like this uses a fraction of the energy of making it from scratch, and it keeps good material in use instead of going to waste.

Why is it important to recycle batteries?

Old batteries leak lead, acid and heavy metals into the soil and water around them. Brought to us, they are shipped whole to a trusted recycler and turned back into lead, acid and plastic, so the poison stays out of Vanuatu's land and reef.

Your recycled bottles never leave the island. They become sand.

Glass is heavy to ship, so we keep it here and put it to work. At our yard we run it through a crusher that turns bottles and jars into a clean, sand-like material which could be used for construction. Beer bottles, wine bottles, jam jars, broken glass, it all goes in.

Two easy ways to recycle your glass with us:

Drop it at either yard for a flat 500vt, loose or bagged, clear or coloured. We take the lot.

Or let us bring the bin to you. In Port Vila we drop a 240L wheelie bin at your door, swapped for a clean one every week, for 3,450vt a month. Glass, PET 1 bottles, aluminium and steel cans all go in the one bin.
