Samoa Joins Regional Discussions at the Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar 2026
The Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure (MWTI), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Ministry of Finance (M*F) represented Samoa at the Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar (PIBOS) 2026, held in Nadi, Fiji.
The seminar brought together Pacific governments, development partners, financiers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to discuss infrastructure opportunities and strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors.
As part of the program, Leseaimalo Clarissa Therese Laulala participated as a panelist in the Enhancing Market Engagement session, sharing Samoa’s experience with early market engagement. The discussion highlighted Samoa’s Alaoa Multipurpose Dam Roadshow as an example of engaging with industry early to support successful project delivery.
The Alaoa Dam Roadshow held during the Seminar provided an opportunity to introduce the project to the market, share key project information, and engage directly with potential partners ahead of future procurement activities.
Soteria Noaese of the Ministry of Finance also represented Samoa in the session Quality Infrastructure Delivery in the Pacific, contributing to discussions on Samoa’s infrastructure development and the delivery of quality infrastructure outcomes.
Muliagatele Tiumalu Malcolm Esera participated in the Transport Sector Thematic Session, sharing Samoa’s perspectives on transport infrastructure opportunities, challenges, and local capacity development.
The seminar provided a valuable platform for Samoa to showcase its infrastructure priorities, strengthen regional partnerships, and promote opportunities for collaboration in delivering resilient and sustainable infrastructure across the Pacific.
