Glimpses of Fever Surveillance Activities in Baksa District

Active fever surveillance is being carried out across Baksa District to ensure early detection, prompt diagnosis, and timely treatment of fever cases. Health teams are conducting house-to-house visits, screening suspected cases, creating community awareness, and strengthening disease surveillance to prevent the spread of vector-borne diseases and other febrile illnesses.

Larvicidal spray activities were carried out at the District Commissioner's (DC) Office Campus, Mushalpur and other surrounding areas of Mushalpur as part of the ongoing vector control measures to prevent mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, and Japanese Encephalitis (JE).

The Health Department continues to undertake proactive measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the community.

Fogging operations were carried out at JNV Campus, Adalbari and Baksa Polytechnic Campus as part of ongoing vector control measures to prevent mosquito-borne diseases, including AES/JE and Dengue.

Fogging operation is being carried out in vulnerable areas of Baksa District as part of the ongoing efforts to prevent and control Japanese Encephalitis (JE). The activity aims to reduce mosquito density and minimize the risk of disease transmission. Community cooperation is requested to support the initiative and adopt preventive measures against mosquito bites.

As part of intensified vector-borne disease prevention activities, a fogging operation was carried out across Mushalpur Town to reduce the adult mosquito population and minimize the risk of diseases such as Dengue, Malaria and Japanese Encephalitis.

Fogging is an important emergency control measure, but lasting prevention depends on community participation. We appeal to all residents to eliminate stagnant water in and around their homes, keep surroundings clean, and cooperate with health teams in preventing mosquito breeding.
