COLD CALLERS - KENDAL, STAVELEY, UNDERBARROW

Thank you to those people who have called us today with concerns about cold callers operating across the Kendal area. We can confirm that none of them are ex-service personnel or 're-formed offenders' conducting sales on behalf of the Probation Service. Just to be absolutely clear the National Probation do not operate or endorse any such scheme.

We have identified and located the individuals concerned and paperwork requiring them to attend Court will be forthcoming. We would be interested to hear from anyone who has CCTV or video doorbell footage and thinks it may be linked.

Please continue to report any suspicious incidents. If your gut feeling is that something isn't right then it most likely isn't.

If you're travelling with your pet this summer, please plan ahead.
Never leave your pet unattended in the vehicle - even for a few minutes. Temperatures inside a parked car can become fatal very quickly.

Before you set off, make sure your pet is fit to travel, bring plenty of fresh water, and plan your route to avoid the hottest parts of the day. If you can, travel in the evening or overnight when it's cooler.

Know the signs of heat stress: excessive panting, rapid breathing, and distress. If you spot these, act immediately.
