CSA serves a FREE dinner 4 days per week to anyone in need in the Mt. Vernon area from 5pm to 5:45pm with NO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA NEEDED! Vernon, NY.

CSA Soup Kitchen is a dinner program feeding anyone in the Mt. Vernon area and its surrounds 4 nights per week (Tuesday - Friday) at 5pm - 5:45pm. There is no eligibility criteria to eat a meal here, and it is the ONLY meal program of its kind in Mt. Community Service Associates, Inc. is an organization run by Executive Director Roberta Apuzzo, and has been in operation for over 20 years. In that

time, Roberta has extended the meal programs to include a *breakfast (A Heavenly Start) and a brown bag lunch program (Our Daily Bread) 4 days per week to anyone in need. (*we no longer offer breakfast)

How to feed over 100 people a delicious and nutritious meal on a $150 budget!!! we strive to deliver the best meals possible on a limited budget. Funding has been a real problem this year and we could really use your help - as you can see, a one time donation of $100-$200 can provide dinner for an entire night!!! I appreciate your support and help feeding the hungry and homeless in Mt. Vernon, thank you!

Thanks to for providing tonight’s dinner! We served about 95 guests tonight and we were able to feed everyone with food to spare!

What’s great Pizza Friday we had !!! Thanks to Scarsdale High School for making TON of sandwiches for us and thanks to our amazing volunteers who helped package the food, which was donated by and made by - we fed over 120 people a free delicious pizza dinner WITH 2 take home sandwiches!!! We couldn’t do this without the help of our generous donors and volunteers, I am so very grateful for all of you!!!

Thank you to the Village Lutheran Church for making tonight’s delicious meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables! We served over 100 individuals tonight The need is great and food insecurity is no joke!! We could use your help with meals, so anyone who wants to donate, make a meal, sponsor a pizza night, please get in touch. With the help of our neighbors and friends we can continue our mission to feed the hungry and homeless in Mount Vernon, NY.

PIZZA NIGHT !!! Big thanks to Ursuline School in New Rochelle for purchasing 30 pizza pies for tonight’s dinner, and thanks to for making so many pies for us on a busy Friday! Also thanks to Ascher for helping me package 100 bags of food tonight!!! I would love to fill my calendar with “pizza Fridays” so if anyone wants to donate, please let me know!!

Big Thank You to https://abra-avante.com for purchasing tonight’s dinner and to for cooking all of this delicious penne vodka with chicken!!! We rely greatly on our local businesses to provide meals and it’s such a huge help, as well as an amazing delicious restaurant meal for our guests. Thanks to Teachers Luncheon Day - they donated all of the leftover food from the luncheon event and was able to feed over 75 people! Thank you for always thinking of us and for never letting any food go to waste!

Thanks again to for the grant award for a deli meat slicer. - NOW - let’s ’cut’ to the chase - who can I get to donate some deli meats and cheese for me to slice up??? perhaps?? Let’s talk!

I was honored to attend an event last night and receive a grant award from for $1,500 towards a professional grade deli meat slicer! With this new machine I hope to cut my costs of buying deli meat and cheese for our sandwich program by 50%. They also graciously donated all the leftover food from their event, some of which I added to tonight’s meal of bow tie pasta and fresh vegetables! I will be giving out the remaining leftover food tomorrow. NOTHING GOES TO WASTE!!! Thanks again to the JLB and congrats to the grant and scholarship recipients!!!
