New post on the struggle for women's liberation in the early years of the Russian Revolution.

A podcast interview with Anne McShane discussing her PhD on the role of the Zhenotdel, the section of the Russian Communist party devoted to women’s affairs in the 1920s, in Soviet Central Asia. We talk about why figures like Alexandra Kollontai and Inessa Armand didn’t consider themselves feminists, and what this implies for our emancipatory politics.

The Green New Deal (GND) in its various incarnations is presented by much of the environmental movement as the solution to avoiding a catastrophic ecological collapse, as well as humanity’s best chance of navigating through the ecological destruction that has already occurred.

This meeting, hosted by the Bolshevik Tendency, discussed how to respond to the GND. Can it, possibly with amendments, be part of providing a pathway to an eco-socialist future?
