Join the Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program for an online Twitter event you can access from your phone or desktop anywhere in the world!

Never participated in a Twitter Chat before? This is your chance to share your transition experience, expertise, and advice to those currently transitioning as a Veteran.

If you’re transitioning now, join and network with those providing resources, mentorship, and tips for success.

If you’re an employer, join in and share your tips for career success or open positions you have available!

To join the online event, log into your Twitter account on Thursday, April 19 from 2 - 3 p.m. ET. Search the hashtag in the search bar and sort posts by “latest.” SFL-TAP () will lead the conversation, asking questions to participants and tweeters responding their thoughts using the hashtag in their answer.

The goal of this Twitter Chat is to:

✔ Share advice and tips on mentorship/networking during transition

✔ Share stories on how you accomplished transition success and your advice on how current transitioning military can also find success.

✔ Share how to translate military skills and write a civilian resume

✔ Connect transitioning military with mentorship and advice, as well as open positions from employers looking to hire Veterans

If you live in an area without close proximity to a SFL-TAP Center, the Virtual Center can help you accomplish your transitioning requirements!

The Virtual Center, or VC, is an online web portal with access to a 3-D simulation. The VC is one of a kind, as no other exists for transition. The VC allows you to navigate through the portal with a customizable avatar. Below are three unique features of the Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program's VC:

#1 - You can meet with real counselors virtually inside the portal and ask questions through a messenger feature and voice microphones (with the proper equipment).

#2 – The VC offers live SFL-TAP classes, as well as optional classes such as resume writing courses and federal job workshops. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, but the VC has a live counselor inside 24/7.

#3 – You can access SFL-TAP's resource library 24/7, which includes transition information, resume materials, seminar slides, and more!

He will be sharing initiatives for SFL-TAP and addressing common questions from Soldiers. SFL-TAP invites you to join this event.
