A significant milestone in Sri Lanka–United States defence cooperation. Ten TH-57 ‘Sea Ranger’ helicopters have arrived in Sri Lanka and will soon be inducted into service with the SLAF, strengthening aviation training, HADR and search and rescue capabilities.

The Regional Training Cycle on Assistance & Protection for Member States in Asia – 2026 concluded successfully in Colombo. Hosted by No. 49 CBRNE Wing SLAF with OPCW & NACWC Sri Lanka, the programme brought together participants from Cambodia, India, Thailand, Maldives, Pakistan, Jordan, Iraq, Oman, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Japan & Mongolia to strengthen regional cooperation and expertise in Chemical Emergency Response. 🇱🇰

Honouring the courage, sacrifice and dedication of Sri Lanka’s fallen heroes at the 17th National War Heroes Commemoration Ceremony held at the War Heroes Memorial, Battaramulla. Hon. President and Commander-in-Chief Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid floral tributes in remembrance of the brave Tri-Service, Police and Civil Defence personnel who gave their lives for the nation.
