City of Antigo Fire Department The City of Antigo fire department has been faithfully serving the citizens of Antigo 24 hours a day 7 days a week continously for over 100 years.

Antigo Fire Department serves the City of Antigo with 24 hour fire and paramedic service and serves the townships of: Ackley, Antigo, Elcho, Evergreen, Neva, Peck, Polar, Price, Rolling, Summit, Upham, Vilas, and White Lake with 24 hour paramedic service.

We know that seeing and smelling smoke can be alarming, and we want to clarify the situation. Please be aware that the smoke currently affecting our community is originating from distant wildfires to the north (Minnesota & Canada), not from any local incidents. See information below.

Smoke from wildfires to the north has been progressing southward today and will continue to impact the area over the next few days. Air quality and visibility will be impacted. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory due to the air quality impacts.

Wildfire smoke has already entered northern Wisconsin this morning. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory. The PM2.5 AQI (24-hour average) is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Very Unhealthy (Purple) level. Hazardous (Maroon) NowCast AQI (1-hour average) will be possible. Exciting news!! We will be selling Antigo Optimist Club cheese curds on Election Day! April 7th, we will be selling all day starting at 7am until sell out in the parking lot across from City Hall! (Polls are open from 7am to 8pm)

All profits from the cheese curd sales will go to the City of Antigo Park, Recreation & Cemetery Department , City of Antigo Fire Department and Antigo Police Department
