benefits (UIA never charges a fee for benefits).

Here’s five things to do to avoid being the victim of a scam:
📧 Do not click on links in random emails that appear to be from UIA.
📞 Verify with UIA if you receive a suspicious email or phone call that claims to be from UIA.
📱 Do not respond, delete and report any random texts from UIA.
🔒 Do not share any personal information if you receive a random call claiming to be from UIA.
📅 Stay up to date with your MiWAM account by monitoring correspondence or requests for information from UIA.

11 small- and medium-sized auto employers are receiving a share of $21 million in Michigan Supplier Conversion Grant program funding to shift from producing parts, components or materials for internal combustion engine vehicles to materials needed in qualified vehicle supply chains (like hybrids). This will ensure Michigan’s auto and manufacturing industry remains a national leader.

ICYMI: The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency is calling on workers whose jobs were disrupted by April storms, tornadoes and flooding to apply now for federal disaster compensation before the program ends later this week.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance is available to residents in more than two dozen counties who lost their jobs or experienced temporary job loss from severe weather across Michigan between April 10 and April 21.
