Abortion: (PRO-CHOICE) The women’s right to choose outweighs the fetuses “potential” right to life. Only early term abortions are expectable, before the fetus is sentient and before it has the characteristics of a person. Affirmative Action: (FOR) Must be reformed but maintained to ensure equal rights, liberty, and fruits in the work place, education, and business
ANWR Drilling: (FOR) The pursuit of domestic energy is good for growth, national security, and the economy. The environment is extremely important, so this must be done with a mother nature’s is first attitude. Balanced Budget: (FOR) Every budget should be balanced, no person or corporation lives extremely over their means without reaping the consequences, those consequences will be faced by the next generation (1980-Present). We must work together to help fix the problem before it is “too big to fail.”
Business: Ease regulation, less government involvement, let the markets be free. Believe in Adam Smith economics. Policy should be reformed; the government must still oversee to some degree. Crime: Protect rights of the offender and victim, reform prison structure and rehabilitation programs, reform “get tough on crime policies”, reform or eliminate “the war on drugs”
Death Penalty: Support. Must be reformed and process sped up for cost reduction, believe it is the states right to choose whether or not to enforce. Defense Spending: Cut the defense budget, invest in technology and intelligence to eliminate threats, be proactive rather than reactive. Stem Cell R&D: Support the research, do not support government funding of research, it should be left to the private sector
Government Size: Reduce the size of the government, reform the structure and policies, eliminate the Federal Reserve and replace it with a national bank, reform the EPA, reduce, eliminate, and consolidate many departments. Gun Control: Protect gun rights, in full support of the second amendment. Healthcare: Should have a government option, should be regulated, but left to private companies to enforce and follow the regulation. Do not support “The Healthcare Act”, but do believe in healthcare policy. Immigration: Support border defense, do not support a fence along the border, and do not support amnesty or drivers licenses for illegals, but support an easy immigration policy meaning easier avenues for people to become a legal productive member of society. Kyoto Treaty: Sign the treaty, and make extensive efforts to reduce our nations carbon footprint, we must evolve into the next age of energy. Malpractice Lawsuits: Support capping punitive and financial gain allotted by these lawsuits as many are frivols. Minimum Wage: Maintain, and work on reducing the cost of living so min. wage can be lowered or eliminated, the markets should maintain a fair wage (Adam Smith economics)
Missile Defense: Reduce the size and operations, slowly moving away from the program to new proactive defense systems, eliminate by 2030. Personal Responsibility: People should be held responsible for their own actions and choices; the government does not need to protect people from themselves. Physician Assisted Su***de: Allow, with strict rules and regulations. Religion: Maintain strict separation of church and state, as it states in the constitution, not be involved with public education, policy, or initiatives. Same S*x Marriage: Everyone has the right to be married, legalize. School Voucher: Eliminate the program. Social Security: Reform and reduce the size, create an opt out program that leads to privatization of S.S
Taxes: Completely reform the tax structure moving to a flat tax system, that would allow people to choose how much taxes they pay above the baseline depending on the services they want from the government. Three Strikes Law: Enforce legislation strictly. Unions: Unions should be limited and workers should not be forced to join
Foreign Policy: Become an isolationist country again, do not interfere with other countries problems, support the U.N and have them keep world peace, reduce military bases abroad, and believe in negotiation, compromise, and delegation. Only go to war at the last possible moment, when there is no other choice. Bush Wars: Respectfully and responsibly end them as soon as realistically possible.
