*RAO Det Khukuri Battle Group (KBG) Run for Community*

SPS and GSPS personnel from 16 Brigade currently deployed on Ex HARAKA STORM in Kenya united to organise the KBG Run for the community. The event led by Cpl Mimahang Rai GSPS (RAO Det 1 RGR) attracted over 200 participants from the Battle Group and BATUK, raising more than £1,000 for a local community school and Project KAIDA (Gurkha Museum). The 5K run was co-ordinated by two GSPS PTIs (Cpl Tsesang from 13AASR and LCpl Yashasvee from 23 Engr). All participants received a free KBG patch designed by Sgt Bhojraj Gurung and the winners were awarded a special hand-crafted medal.

The detachment, accompanied by the Gurkha Major and RSM 1 RGR, visited a local secondary school to distribute essentials and gifts as part of KBG Community Engagement. These events underscored the strong partnership between SPS, GSPS and RGR, demonstrating how their collaboration during the exercise delivers a unified and greater impact.

The Colonel of the Regiment, SO2/ Comd GSPS, and all members of the GSPS pariwar would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to RAO Det 1 RGR and entire member of RAO Det KBG in organising such a remarkable event in support of the communities.
