Six DILG-NCR Field Offices emerged as top performers in their respective clusters during the 2026 PRAISE Pagtanaw Awarding Ceremony held on September 8, 2026, at the PNP Bulwagang Lapu-Lapu, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City.

The Best Performing Field Office Award recognized field offices that demonstrated excellence across key areas, including program implementation, administrative compliance, innovative practices, significant accomplishments, public information initiatives, and client satisfaction during Performance Year 2025.

Congratulations to all the awardees for their outstanding accomplishments and collective commitment to organizational excellence. May these achievements inspire continued collaboration in delivering responsive public service across the region.

Recognizing excellence and dedication in public service, the Department of the Interior and Local Government - National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) honored its outstanding personnel at the 2026 Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Pagtanaw Awarding Ceremony held on September 8, 2026, at the PNP Bulwagang Lapu-Lapu, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City.

The ceremony recognized the significant accomplishments and contributions of DILG-NCR personnel across the Regional and Field Offices during Performance Year 2025, whose exceptional performance exemplified the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Congratulations to all the awardees, and may you continue to carry forward the Matino, Mahusay, at Maaasahang brand of service in advancing urban governance excellence in NCR.

At the PRAISE Pagtanaw Awards 2026, DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, honored the people behind every accomplishment, most particularly the employees who show up, rise to challenges, and serve with purpose. She highlighted that every report completed, program delivered, local government assisted, and community served reflects the dedication, patience, and commitment of DILG-NCR’s public servants.

Through the stories of the awardees, she underscored that true excellence goes beyond productivity, it is rooted in professionalism, integrity, compassion, and character. She encouraged the entire DILG-NCR family to keep striving for excellence, supporting one another, and turning every challenge into an opportunity to serve better.

As the celebration looked back with gratitude and forward with renewed purpose, she called on every lingkod-bayan to serve with excellence, lead with integrity, and inspire through example.

IN THE LIMELIGHT | DILG NCR Signs Policy Institutionalizing Metro Manila Resilience Hub

The DILG-NCR Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) formally signed the Regional Memorandum Circular establishing the Metro Manila Resilience Hub during the DILG NCR National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) Culmination Program.

This policy will streamline and reinforce the various services of the DILG–NCR LGRC Core Facilities, ranging from capacity development to public information and education, in support of resilience-driven local governance in the region.

The establishment of the Resilience Hub is one of the key milestones of DILG–NCR’s Upscaling Plans for Resilient Urban Governance (UPSURGE) Project, funded through the Australian Government-supported UNDP–SHIELD Programme.

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗧

It’s a new Monday, and we gather to recommit ourselves to meaningful and dedicated public service.

As we begin September, Peace Consciousness Month reminds us that peace is more than the absence of conflict. It means creating communities where people feel safe, secure, supported, and mentally well, especially our children and youth. The recent tragic violence in our schools reminds us that true progress cannot thrive in an atmosphere of fear and anxiety. Our children deserve to feel safe in their classrooms so they can learn, dream, and prepare for the future.

As public servants, we have an important role in building the stability and trust our nation needs to heal and grow. We are not simply processors of paperwork or managers of programs; we are partners in creating a peaceful and progressive society.

When we perform our duties with excellence, honesty, patience, and empathy, we help reduce the burdens and challenges faced by our citizens. Every program we deliver efficiently and every person we assist with compassion can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Through our daily work, we help create communities where people feel seen, valued, supported, and secure.

Let us begin this week with renewed purpose, knowing that every good deed and service we provide is a step toward a safer and more peaceful Philippines. May we continue to serve with dedication and compassion, knowing that public service is peace and development in action, and may we have a meaningful and productive week ahead.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚-𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗜-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗣

The DILG-NCR, through Project AGSIKAP 2026, brought together over 150 participants to explore the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in strengthening project management, decision-making, and public service delivery. The session emphasized that AI adoption must be anchored on good governance, accountability, ethical standards, and human judgment. Through innovation and collaboration, DILG-NCR continues to support LGUs in becoming more responsive, efficient, data-driven, and future-ready.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗖-𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘇𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

In line with the call for stronger convergence among peace and order councils in the region, the Regional Peace and Order Council – National Capital Region (RPOC-NCR) Secretariat, through Section Chief/LGOO V Kris-Ann Faye A. Munda-Rebullana, conducted an orientation-discussion on RPOC-NCR Resolution No. 17, s. 2026, “Resolution Adopting and Supporting the Strategic Direction, Key Areas, and Framework of the Regional Peace and Order Council – National Capital Region (RPOC-NCR),” during the 3rd Quarter Valenzuela City Peace and Order Council (VCPOC) meeting held on August 27, 2026, at the AVR, 3rd Floor, Legislative Building, Valenzuela City Hall.

The orientation was conducted upon the invitation of Valenzuela City Government, following the presentation of Resolution No. 17 during the 2nd Quarter VCPOC meeting last May 21, 2026, for possible adoption. The Council deemed it necessary for its members to first be oriented on the concepts and principles regarding the Framework, including the strategic direction outlined for the region, to properly identify their possible alignment before formally adopting the Resolution.

As the Secretariat of the Regional Peace and Order Council in the National Capital Region, the RPOC-NCR Secretariat remains committed to fostering convergence, coordination, and policy alignment among national government agencies, LGUs, and partner stakeholders in pursuit of a safer, more peaceful, and more resilient National Capital Region.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚-𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapatibay sa kakayahan ng ating mga barangay, nakiisa ang DILG-NCR sa ginanap na 2026 Listong Barangay Forum.

Ang naturang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng DILG Malabon Field Office, katuwang ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Malabon, noong ika-25 hanggang ika-26 ng Agosto 2026. Dumalo sa dalawang araw na pagtitipon ang mga kinatawan mula sa Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMC) sa buong lungsod.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay na ito, muling napag-ibayo ang pagkakaisa at ugnayan ng mga punong barangay at ng pamahalaang lokal. Ang aktibong pakikilahok ng bawat kasapi ng BDRRMC ay isang malinaw na patunay ng patuloy na pagsusumikap ng DILG Malabon at ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Malabon na makabuo ng isang ligtas, maagap, at matatag na pamayanan laban sa anumang banta ng kalamidad.

Natapos ang dalawang araw na forum nang may panibagong sigla at determinasyon ang mga kinatawan ng barangay na ipatupad ang kanilang mga natutunan. Patuloy namang kaagapay ang DILG-NCR sa pagbibigay ng gabay at suporta upang matiyak na ang bawat barangay sa Metro Manila ay manatiling handa at ‘listo’ sa lahat ng pagkakataon.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚-𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗖𝗥-𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺

In support of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Local Government Code Review and Amendment Program (LGC RevAmP), the DILG-NCR conducted a consultation with LGU representatives from the Cities of Makati, Mandaluyong, Manila, and Pasay on August 24, 2026, and the Cities of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Taguig, and the Municipality of Pateros on August 25, 2026, at the Wyndham Garden Manila Bay in Parañaque City.

The consultation brought together functionaries from the Offices of the Mayors, Sangguniang Panlungsod and Bayan Members and Secretariats, Legal Offices, Local Planning and Development Offices, Local Budget Offices, Local Accounting Offices, Local Social Welfare and Development Offices, Local Health Offices, and Local Universities and Colleges of the participating local government units (LGUs).

The activity aimed to strengthen the evidence base for priority reforms and policy issues affecting the National Capital Region (NCR), while consolidating policy recommendations to support the Department’s legislative reform agenda.
