the Belen Police Department's records division will be unavailable for an undetermined amount of time, due to a medical emergency. The front office will be open to walk in traffic but police reports and other records related matters will not be available.

We will update this post when the records division is available.

The City of Belen’s Community Preservation Department presents the 2023 Spring Clean! They will have 30 ft. dumpsters for City of Belen residents to throw away unwanted garbage, rubbish, or debris from their property.

The Spring Clean will be held Monday, April 3rd thru Friday, April 7th from 9 am to 4 pm at 925 N Main St.

We hope to encourage everyone to make our community healthier, safer, and cleaner. This is the first of hopefully many more resources we will provide in the coming months. The Community Preservation department would like to say, “Thank you Belen,” for allowing us to serve you!

We also want to give special thanks to Universal Waste Services for their generous donation of use of their dumpsters. Together we can all clean up our community!

The Emergency Siren has been repaired and is full operational. The Siren will be Activated on the 11th day of every month at 11:00am for testing purposes.

Yesterday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00am the Emergency Siren sounded three times in remembrance of all of our military veterans.

The Star on our water tower was also lit as of November 10, 2021.

Our very own Belen Eagles are headed to the State Playoffs! This Friday, November 5th, the Eagles will take on the Deming Wildcats at Belen Eagle stadium starting at 7pm. The Eagles are seeded number 7 and the Wildcats are seeded number 10, the match-up should be a good one to watch but, of course, our Eagles will soar to victory!

The next meeting of the BHPRB will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 5:00pm at the Belen Harvey House Museum. The meeting is open to the Public.

Three new BHPRB members were approved by Mayor Cordova and the City Council at tonights City Council meeting.
We are proud to welcome Sandy Schauer, Paula Castillo, and Sonya Sanchez to the Belen Historic Properties Review Board.
They will join Joan Artiaga and Jim Sloan to bring the Board up to the required five members. And a big Thank you to ex officio Kathleen Pickering for all of her leadership and guidance.
We are working on getting the meetings up and running again after this year-long shut down due to the Covid- 19 pandemic.
We have a lot of important issues to resolve when we are up and running again and hope the public will join us at the meetings.

Here is the History of The Historic Hotel Kuhn in Belen. I hope a roof can be re-done soon or Belen will lose another of the few Historic Buildings that remain.
