At the HQ Recognition Ceremony at Greenacre this morning, Commissioner Fewtrell presented some of our team members from Operational Logistics (past and present) with the National Emergency Medal in recognition of our contribution to the 2019-20 Bushfire campaign and the FRNSW Long Service & Good Conduct Medal.

Commissioner Fewtrell presented Sean Churchward with the 3rd Clasp for his FRNSW Long Service & Good Conduct Medal.
Sean started his time at the NSWFB Supply & Maintenace Division at Chullora in the Boot Shop as an Apprentice Boot Maker on the 04/02/1983. Over his 40+ years and after the closing of the Boot Shop, he has worked in several sections to include the Hose Dept, Supply Section, Properties Services and currently in Inventory Warehouse & Distribution IWD at Operational Logistics Greenacre as the Store & Logistics Support Officer. Congratulations Sean 👏

Congratulations also to Trevor Nickl, Fleet Regional Maintenance Officer Port Macquarie on his 40 years of service last week and to Greg Islip, Fleet Fire vehicle Repairer Body Shop on receiving his FRNSW Long Service & Good Conduct Medal.

🚨 Operational Logistics preparing for the 2023-2024 Bushfire Season 🚒🔥
The Inventory Warehouse and Distribution (IWD) team at Greenacre have been busy in the background giving the Bushfire Strike Team Inventory Caches the once over.
Equipment checked, Portable Pumps & Extinguishers serviced and the EMT Kit contents updated and changed over into the new style bags.
