High Fashion Low Countries is a vivid example of how relevant entities and cutting-edge designers from Belgium and The Netherlands are taking note of changing times, realizing that cultural entities, not just businesses, need to think broadly and imaginatively to ensure their continuing excellence and long-term sustainability. We have come to identify and celebrate alluring and intriguing pieces result of exquisite craftsmanship and innovative techniques created by young promising talent eager to break the mold and search for alternatives that fit best the coming times in fashion design. But most importantly we're celebrating how creativity and business can interplay and coexist. The events related to this project will take place during 2012 throughout different events in Brussels, Antwerp and Amsterdam with two main goals: firstly, strengthening existing partnerships between Belgium and the Netherlands; secondly, connecting relevant actors in the sector such as investors, traders and designers in order to share knowledge and expertise on durability and entrepreneurship. It is a delight to see these values reflected in such exciting new talent and to share the enthusiasm with our joining partners. We hope both, the fashion savvy and the less informed ones will be seduced to participate in this change. www.highfashionlowcountries.com
