Looking for something more to do in the summer? You can borrow different equipment to have fun outside. There are 2 stand-up paddle boards, a blow-up kayak, frisbees, different kinds of balls, outdoor games, and a balance rope. There are also 2 rucksacks and a trangia for trekking.

Anyone over 15 years old can lend things for 7 days. Lending is done by calling Matti Saaranen 040 191 2238 or, during the summer, the summer counselor 040 191 2222

Aurinkoista uuden viikon alkua! Toimintatuvan väki on taas tänäkin vuonna istuttanut kauniita kesäkukkia ympäri kylää, tämä kuvan istutus löytyy kunnantalon pihalta. Kiitos toimintatupalaisille! 😊🌼

Tämän viikon ohjelmaa:

Ma-to 8.–11.6. Pyhännän maa- ja kotitalousseuran kokkikerho ennakkoon ilmoittautuneille. AP-ryhmä klo 10–12, IP- ryhmä klo 12–30–14.30.

Ma 8.6. klo 17.30 Sirkusesitys koko perheelle koulun liikuntasalissa. Liput 9 €.

Ti-ke 9.–10.6. Kalastukseen painottuva nuorten leiri Pyhännän Ahvenjärvellä ilmoittautuneille. Leiri alkaa 9.6 klo 14 ja päättyy 10.6 klo 14. 

Ti 9.6. klo 17 Pyhännän Frisbeeseuran viikkokisat Kivijärvenkankaalla. Huom! Ole paikalla viimeistään 16.45. Osallistumismaksu free-luokkaan ilmainen, muissa luokissa 2 €.

Ke 10.6. klo 17 kesäkuun puistojumppa! Liikutetaan kehoa monipuolisesti hyvällä meiningillä! Sisältää lämmittelyn, jumpan ja kehonhuoltoa. Liikkeistä saattavilla erilaisia vaihtoehtoja, joista voit valita omalle kuntotasolle sopivan. Kokoontuminen urheilukentälle. Oma jumppamatto, iso pyyhe tms. alusta sekä juomapullo mukaan. Sateella liikuntasalissa. Osoite Seurantie 2.

Ke 10.6. klo 18 Kulttuuria Seitsemällä Ihmeellä- Sointukylpy Pöytäniitynkololla. Sointukylpy puron äärellä on luonnonläheinen syvärentoutusmuoto, jossa äänimaljojen ja gongin värähtelyt yhdistyvät luonnon omiin ääniin. Mukaan tarvitset riittävän lämpimän, sään mukaisen vaatetuksen, maastoon sopivat jalkineet, makuualustan ja vesipullon. Huomioi, että Pöytäniitynkololle on portaat ja maasto ei ole esteetön. Tapahtuma ei sovi liikuntaesteisille. Saavu paikalle pyörällä, jalan tai kimppakyydeillä. Paikoitustilaa on hyvin rajallisesti.

Pe 12.8. Powerpark retki ennakkoon ilmoittautuneille. Lähtö Iisakin torilta klo 8 ja paluu noin klo 21.30.

The summer is a great time to go to the beach! The summer can sometimes get hot, even in Finland. Fortunately, Pyhäntä has multiple public beaches to choose from. Going to the beach is a nice way to cool down, have fun with your family or friends, play games, eat, and even get a tan if you'd like.

The museum beach is the closest to the centre. It's on the shore of Pyhännänjärvi, near the road toward Kestilä. The water is shallow, and the beach is suitable for families. There is also a shelter located on the beach, where you have a great opportunity to grill with the fire. Next to the shelter are beach volley fields that are free to use and play on. The beach is the only one that doesn't have changing rooms or a bathroom so change your clothes at home or someplace else.

The Pitkälahti beach at Iso-Lamujärvi can be found on the way to Kärsämäki. There are signs that guide you to the beach. The beach is long and the water is shallow, and the beach is well suited for families.

The Kamulankylä beach is also located on the shore of Iso-Lamujärvi. Signs guide toward the beach on the road to Kiuruvesi. The beach is also shallow with sand, suitable for kids.

The Ahvenjärvi beach is in Ahokylä. There are guiding signs on the road from Ahokylä to Tavastkenkä. The location has ridges and is wilderness-like, with clear water.

The Sainijärvi beach is located in Tavastkenkä, guides lead toward the beach from Perukantie. The landscape is also ridged, and a type of wilderness.

The beaches don't have lifeguards, so parents are responsible for their children. Stay safe, and enjoy the beach.

Summer and ice cream: An inseparable combination!

Pyhäntä has two parlors that sell ice cream during the summer, and that are known for their big scoops. There are multiple flavours to choose from, like this summer's new addition, Lemon-Licourice. But if you're more into simple and safe flavours, the parlors also offer the classics like vanilla and chocolate. There are vegan options available too. Ice cream is a perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. As for rainy weather, you can always brighten the day with some ice cream, don't let the rain stop you! And if ice cream isn't your thing, you can find other things to eat too. The kiosks also have savory snacks, like paninis. You can also buy coffee, cold drinks, and other snacks. Occasionally the kiosks may also have special things like donuts or strawberries. Enjoy the summer, and the ice cream!

Pyhännän koulun ensi syksyn eskarit etsivät esiopettajaa!

Pyhännän kunnassa on haettavana esiluokanopettajan määräaikainen virka Pyhännän koululla ajalle 1.8.2026-31.7.2027.
Pyhännän koulu on noin 250 oppilaan yhtenäiskoulu. Esiopetusluokka sijaitsee fyysisesti koulun ja päiväkodin yhteydessä ollen koulun hallinnon alla. Esiopetusryhmämme ovat keskimäärin 20- 30 oppilaan suuruisia.

Haemme joukkoomme sinua, jolla on aktiivinen ja kehitysmyönteinen työote sekä hyvät
yhteistyö ja vuorovaikutustaidot. Olethan myös tiimipelaaja, koska esikoulussa työtä tehdään yhdessä toisen esiluokanopettajan ja koulunkäynninohjaajien kanssa. Vastavuoroisesti me tarjoamme sinulle huikean työyhteisön, kattavan työterveyshuollon ja
e-passi hyvinvointietua.

Kelpoisuusvaatimuksena on opetustoimen henkilöstön kelpoisuusvaatimuksista annetun asetuksen (986/98) mukainen kelpoisuus. Arvostamme kokemusta esiopetuksessa työskentelystä.

Want a way to pass time on a rainy day? Grab a book! The Pyhäntä library has books from fiction to non-fiction, from cooking instructions to war history books. Books can help you explore places without going anywhere. The library also has other media to experience. The music corner has information on music, CD's, and even a keyboard to play on. There is a room with computers and a gaming console, you may ask for a game from the front desk. The children's area has a few toys, coloured pencils and drawings to colour, and books for kids. There is also a magazine room where you can read newspapers and different magazines. If you have a library card, you can borrow books, DVD's and other things from the library. You can also get a library card from the library.

The library is open in the summer on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10.00 to 17.00, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12.00 to 19.00.

Fishers, take note! If you wish to fish at Kontiolampi, Iso-Ahvenjärvi, or Pahalampi, get a fishing permit. A permit costs 30€ per day for members of the fishing association and 35€ per day for non-members. Children under 12 get a permit for 15€ per day, but they're only allowed one if accompanied by someone with a normal permit. Permits are good for catching 3 salmon. Other fish don't have a limit. You may only use two fish poles or jigs at once. Using silicone balls is not allowed, but there are no limits on other lures. At Ahvenjärvi, you may use a boat for fishing.
