Today, Master Gardeners in New Castle County happily filled the Extension Office in their new location on the CANR campus for their monthly meeting.

From professional development to program planning and sharing, it was a great morning in their new space. Even the indoor plants, established and cared for by the Master Gardeners, especially the Meyer lemon, with its beautiful, fragrant blooms and developing fruit, wanted to be a part of the festivities!

September is Food Safety Month! Whether you’re eating at a kitchen table, a desk, or a break room counter, safe food starts with clean habits! Before you dig in, take 10 seconds to wipe down your surface, wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds, and keep raw meat, poultry, and eggs separate from ready-to-eat foods like produce—from your cart all the way to your table.

We loved seeing these simple habits in action at our Kids in the Kitchen program! Our young chefs learned firsthand why sparkling-clean hands are the ultimate secret ingredient in any great meal.
