Today, Sheriff Gene Claps had the honor of speaking at the Northglenn Elks Lodge #2438 Flag Day celebration, joining community members in recognizing the significance of the American flag and the values it represents.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to the Northglenn Elks Lodge for the invitation and for their dedication to honoring our nation’s history, traditions, and those who have served in defense of our freedoms.

Flag Day serves as an important reminder of the sacrifices made by generations of service members who have answered the call to protect our country. We proudly recognize the men and women of the United States Armed Forces—past and present—and thank them for their unwavering commitment, courage, and service.

As law enforcement professionals, we are reminded daily of the responsibility we share in serving and protecting our communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our veterans, active-duty military personnel, and community partners in honoring the flag that symbolizes the freedoms we all cherish.

Thank you to all who serve and have served. Your sacrifice and dedication will never be forgotten.

Determination, perseverance, and a commitment to a better future have led these three individuals to an incredible achievement.

Today, we proudly celebrate three graduates who earned their GED at the Adams County Detention Facility. Their journey required hard work, discipline, and the courage to keep pushing forward despite challenges. Their accomplishment is a testament to what can be achieved through dedication and a willingness to invest in themselves.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the instructors, staff, volunteers, and everyone who invested their time and energy into providing educational opportunities behind bars. Their commitment to empowering others through education helps create brighter futures and lasting change.

Please join us in congratulating these graduates on this significant milestone and wishing them continued success in the next chapter of their journeys. 🎓👏

Adams County Motorcycle Unit Shines at Annual Police Rodeo

Last Friday, members of the Adams County Motorcycle Unit participated in the 3rd Annual Gordon Beesley Police Motorcycle Rodeo.

Held as part of the annual motor school, the event honors Officer Gordon Beesley, an Arvada PD officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2021. The rodeo also serves as a fundraiser for the MC1 Foundation, which supports Colorado law enforcement officers who are seriously injured in the line of duty.

We're proud to recognize Sr. Deputy Phillips, who earned 1st Place in the Harley Expert Division of the Rodeo and 2nd Place in the Slow Ride Competition!

Congratulations to Sr. Deputy Phillips on these outstanding accomplishments, and thank you to all members of our Motorcycle Unit for their dedication, professionalism, and service to our community every day.

We've released some golden trout into the Riverdale Regional Park for today's Adams County Fishing Festival. Cast your line, test your luck, and see if you're the one who reels in one of these prized catches!

Good luck, anglers! 🐟✨
