‎In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, s. 2026, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Regional Fisheries Office 1 (BFAR-RFO 1) announces the implementation of the Four-Day Workweek Arrangement for the Regional Office and Provincial Fisheries Offices (PFOs), effective Monday, March 9, 2026.
‎
‎Under this arrangement, covered offices will operate four days per week with extended working hours to ensure the continued and efficient delivery of services:
‎
‎*Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday
‎*Office Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
‎
‎Meanwhile, offices providing essential and frontline services requiring continuous operations will maintain their regular work schedules to ensure uninterrupted public service. These include the Technology Outreach Stations; Enforcement and Regional Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance Operations Center; Fisheries Inspection and Quarantine Unit services in Seaports and Airports; BFAR Laboratories; and Mariculture Zone Projects and seaweed nurseries.

‎All stakeholders and clients are encouraged to schedule their transactions within the new office hours.
